Happy Halloween!

I've seen some really adorable Halloween cards and projects on different blogs, and I wished I'd taken some time this month to try to make some of them myself. I did make the scratch and sniff card with the Creepy Crawly Paper. I guess there is always next year. Anyway, I found this cute little pumpkin carving site that I thought I would share with all of you tonight.

Happy Halloween!!

Creepy Crawly Bracelet

Last year, I received a beautiful bracelet swap from Carol Barr made with blue beads and I believe the Four Seasons Designer Paper from last year. I wear it a lot because blue is my favorite color. It has taken me this long to finally make one of my own. I really like the Creepy Crawly Designer Series paper so I decided it was time to make one of my own for the Halloween season.

Post-it Note Holder

I've been busy making post-it note holders for my sister-in-law. I had made one for her this summer for her birthday and she really liked it. She told me then she would like me to make some for her to give to her friends. I had Friday off for Fall break and decided it was a good day to make some for her since she was in town this week.

I found the original tutorial to make them on Chi Chi Allen's blog: http://chichiallen/blogspot.com It was posted on her archive blog on December 27, 2006.

Halloween Card - Scratch and Sniff

This is a scratch and sniff card (as well as a tent card) that I had my customers make a few weeks ago. It uses the Craft pad "Only Orange". Clear Embossing Powder is mixed with Orange Kool-aid to make the scratch and sniff feet. The feet are from the set "I'm Here" which are then heated with the Heat Tool to make the "smelly feet". Scratch the feet and you can really smell the orange scent. I used the Ticket Corner Punch on each corner of the Whisper White and Basic Black cardstock. I love the Creepy Crawly Designer Series Paper for the background.
The Halloween set is Batty for You which was stamped in Classic Basic Black and then punched out with the 1 3/8" Circle Punch. I used the Coluzzle to make the bigger circles and I punched out Basic Black cardstock with the Scallop Punch. This was such a fun card to make and I was really pleased with the way it turned out.

October 6, 2007 - Hershey's Snowman

Hi Stampers,

I've been a Stampin' Up! demo for over 5 years now. I love to stamp. I started my Blog a few weeks ago, but I'm just now getting around to creating something for it. I hope I can figure it out.

A few weeks ago, I had a workshop with some of my regular customers. We made a cute little Hershey S'moreman that they just loved especially my friend Julie who loves to collect S'moremen. The idea was inspired by a card created by Zatarat on SCS. I went a step further and added a 49 oz. Hershey's candy bar inserted in a cardstock wrapper.

Supplies:

Stamp Set(s): Cold Play, It’s Snow Time (verse), Itty Bitty Backgrounds
Ink: Basic Black, Only Orange, Close to Cocoa
Cardstock: Whisper White, Chocolate Chip and Creamy Caramel
Other: 1 3/8” Square Punch, 1 ¼” Square Punch, Corner Rounder, Word Window Punch, Stamping Sponge, Bone Folder, Scoring Blade

  1. Cut out Ballet Blue cardstock 3” x 4”. Score cardstock on short side at 1”, then 1 ½”, then 2 ½” and then 3”. Fold on scored lines and use Bone Folder to crease each fold.
  2. Take the square punches and punch each from Whisper White Cardstock. Round the corners of each square with the Corner Rounder.
  3. With the Stampin’ Sponge and Close to Cocoa ink pad, sponge edges of rounded squares to give it a toasty look.
  4. Take the Word Window punch and punch one from the Creamy Caramel cardstock and one from the Chocolate Chip cardstock. Stamp the Creamy Caramel one with Creamy Caramel ink pad with the Itty Bitty Background stamp to make it look like a graham cracker.
  5. Stamp the snowman face on the small rounded square with Basic Black ink and Only Orange ink pad for the carrot nose.
  6. Wrap the scored Ballet Blue around a 49 oz. Hershey’s Chocolate Bar and glue in back with Snail Adhesive. Glue S’moreman together on the front with Snail Adhesive as show in above picture.
  7. Stamp “Let it Snow”. Or stamp “Cold Twigs-Warm Hearts” from It’s Snow Time stamp set. Or put a refrigerator magnet on the back, if you wish.
