Rose Wonder Birthday

When I first saw the new 2016 Occasions Catalog, I fell in love with the new set Rose Wonder and knew it would be one of the first sets I would preorder as a demo.  The colors I used were Island Indigo and Old Olive.  I stamped the rose on Whisper White cardstock and embossed it with White Embossing Powder before coloring it in.

Sleigh Ride Edgelits Ornament Card

This is was a fun ornament card I made after learning how to make it from Michelle Zindorf.  It uses the  Sleigh Ride Edgelits Dies which retire soon. It also uses the Embellished Ornaments Thinlets Die that is not retiring yet.   I used the Hardwood Background Stamp.  The colors are Island Indigo, Old Olive, Whisper White cardstock.  I love how it turned out.

Embellished Ornaments

This is the card I swapped with my club members.  I was inspired by Judy May's card that I found on Pinterest.  The base of my card is Night of Navy.  The second layer is Whisper White cut in half. The bottom half, I used the Stylish Stripes TIEF.  I cut a strip of Night of Navy to overlap where the second layers meets in the center and also added a strip of Silver Glimmer Paper.  For the ornament, I used Night of Navy with a Silver Foil backing, and Silver Glimmer Paper for the top of the ornament and the center.  I add an Iced Rhinestone for the center.

Christmas Card Swaps

On Sunday, eight of my club members came to swap Christmas cards with each other and me.  This is the first time we decided to do this.   Above are 8 of my club members with me in the middle sitting.  Also, the 9 Christmas cards that we stamped to swap before coming to the workshop.  I think they did a fantastic job.  Most of them have been club members with me for the past six years.  It is always so much fun to get together and stamp with them.  Not only are they my loyal customers, but they are just great friends and I appreciate each one of them.  The other club members are in another state and could not make it.

Snow Place

This is one of the cards we made at my workshop on Sunday after we swapped our Christmas cards.  I've always loved snowmen, so couldn't resist buying the Snow Place set with the coordinating Snow Friends Framelits Dies in the 2015 Holiday catalog.  I received a similar card from my demo friend Dianne Teslak, but she had used the the Season of Cheer DSP snowflakes which I had already used up.  Instead I stamped my snowflakes on Night of Navy with the Whisper White craft ink and let it dry.  I also added a little Real Red  Pompom from the Trim in the Holiday Catalog for the little snowman.  The base of the card is Whisper White and layered with Real Red cardstock.  The snow was sponged with Soft Sky. I cut a small strip of Real Red for the trim on the large snowman.  For my workshop I changed the arms to Soft Suede but my sample shows Chocolate Chip which doesn't show up as well.  I also made a template to show what dies to use.

Thanks Dianne for your swap.  I really liked it.

Here is Dianne's card:

Rudolph Gift Card Holder Envelope

This is the other project we made at my workshop on Sunday.  The idea came from a video I saw of Connie Stewart's, but I used the Holidays Fancy Foil Designer Vellum for the front of my Gift Card Envelope.  I loved her Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer and knew I had to make one.  I also used it for my club workshop on Sunday.   I used several punches to create Rudolph as you can see in the chart I made below..
The base of Rudolph could be either Tip Top Taupe or Crumb Cake.  His antlers and hooves were Chocolate Chip.  His front fur was Whisper White as well as part of his nose and also Red Glimmer Paper.  The Island Indigo card stock is cut at 6" x 6 1/2" to use the Gift Card Envelope & Trims Thinlets Dies.  The stamp is Oh, What Fun used in Real Red ink and stamped on Whisper White and punched out with the Decorative Label Punch.  The Decorative Label Punch was also used from Island Indigo by punching out two of them.    I cut one label in half vertically and the other one horizonally so that I could layer them under the Whisper White tag. The 1/8"Striped Real Red ribbon is from the Holiday catalog.  Everyone thought it was a really cute idea!

Snow Place Snowman

Let it Snow!  Let it Snow! Let it Snow!  We did have some snow fall today but not enough to accumulate or even to make a snowman.  So I made a snowman card using the Snow Place stamp set.  The base of card is Whisper White layered with Lost Lagoon.  I stamped the snowflakes with Craft White.  I stamped the snowman with Memento Black ink and cut him out with the coordinating Snow Friends Framelits.  The snow and trees in background are cut from the Sleigh Ride Edgelits (soon to retire).  I wasn't crazy about the Sleigh Ride Edgelits when I first saw them, but have seen so many beautiful cards made with them.  It will be sad to see them go.  I stamped "Let it Snow!" on  Whisper White and I used the Hexagon punch on the one end to create a banner.

Cozy Christmas and Cheer All Year

This is a card I made with Night of Navy and Soft Sky cardstock.
I ran the Soft Sky through the Big Shot using the Softly Falling TIEF.
The "Christmas Cheer" is from Cheer All Year stamp set that will soon retire.
Santa and his reindeer are also soon to retire from the set Cozy Christmas set.
I used the new Curvy Corner Trio Punch that will not retire and will still be available in the new Occasions Catalog that comes out January 5.  The punch has a ribbon slide which I punched at both ends of my banner to slide the Night of Navy 1/2" seam binding through.  The punch also has two corner shapes.
