Sunflower 3D Embossing Folder

Here is another card I made using the Sunflower Embossing Folder.  This time I used a brayer in Bashful Blue ink on the Embossing Folder on the logo side and then inserted the Willow White cardstock.  I colored it in with the Stampin' Blends on the embossed side.

Here are my instructions:

Stamp Set:  Perfectly Pears (sentiment)

Cardstock:  Balmy Blue, White Willow, Basic White

Ink:  Balmy Blue with the brayer inked up the logo side of the embossing folder, Mossy Meadow

Stampin’ Blends:  Daffodil Delight, Darling Duckling, Timid Tiger, Mossy Meadow, Granny Apple Green, Pecan Pie

Other:  Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine, Sunflower 3D Embossing Folder, Brayer, Tags to Go Dies, Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Mini Glue Dots, Linen Thread

1.     The base of the card is Balmy Blue cardstock cut at 5-1/2” x 8-1/2” and scored at 4-1/4” in the middle.

2.    Ink up the Brayer with Bashful Blue ink on the logo side and insert 4” x 5-1/4” Willow White cardstock.  Run through the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine.

3.    Now, color the embossed side with the Stampin’ Blends.

4.    Adhere to the base of the card with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

5.    Die-cut a label from the Tags to Go Dies and stamp “A Good Friend is a Gift” from Perfectly Pears in Mossy Meadow ink.

6.    Attach the label with Stampin’ Dimensionals and add a double bow with Linen Thread with a Glue Dot.

Perfectly Pears with Sunflower 3D Embossing Folder

This is the first card I made with my Sunflower 3D Embossing Folder.  I saw the technique on YouTube by Debbie Reed and was so inspired that I wanted to make one too.  Although, I didn't have the Memento ink she used called Rich Cocoa, but I did order it from another company to use in the future.  Stampin' Up! doesn't have it, just the Jet Black so that it what I used today.  Just be sure to do it on the debossed side for it to work correctly.

Here are my instructions I typed up after making my card:

Stamp Set:  Perfectly Pears (sentiment)

Cardstock:  Very Vanilla, Mossy Meadow, Timid Tiger, Lemon Lolly

Ink:  Memento Black ink, Mossy Meadow, Lemon Lolly

Stampin’ Blends:  Daffodil Delight, Lemon Lolly, Darling Duckling

Mossy Meadow, Granny Apple Green, Lemon Lime Twist, Pecan Pie, Timid Tiger

Other:  Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine, Sunflower 3D Embossing Folder, Mixed Label Dies (labels), 3/8” Gold Striped Mesh Ribbon, Spone Daubers, Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Stampin' Dimensionals, Tiny Bee Trinkets

1.     The base of the card is Very Vanilla cardstock cut at 5-1/2” x 8-1/2” and scored at 4-1/4” in the middle.

2.    The first layer is Lemon Lolly cut at 3-1/4” x 4-1/2” and inserted into the Sunflower 3D EF and run through the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine.

3.    The second layer is Timid Tiger cardstock cut at 3-1/2” x 4-3/4”.

4.    The third layer is Mossy Meadow cardstock cut at 4” x 5-1/2”.

5.    After embossing, turn over to the debossed side and begin by coloring with Memento Black ink or if you have Rich Cocoa Memento (Amazon) ink, use it to lightly ink up the debossed side of the sunflower.

6.    Begin coloring the leaves with the green Stampin’ Blends starting with the darker at the base and the lighter at the tip of the leaves.

7.    Begin coloring the flower petals with the yellow Stampin’ Blends starting with the darker and the lighter at the tip of petals.

8.    Color the inside of sunflower with Pecan Pie and Timid Tiger.  Wrap the ribbon around the inked Lemon Lolly sunflower towards the bottom and tie another piece around to the left.  Layer onto the Timid Tiger cardstock with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Then layer onto the Mossy Meadow with the glue.  Adhere to the Very Vanilla Base.

9.    Die-cut the labels from Lemon Lolly and Mossy Meadow cardstock.  Ink up the sentiment “A Good Friend is a Gift” with Mossy Meadow ink.  Layer together with Multipurpose Glue and add Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back and adhere over the ribbon on the right side.  Add three Bee Trinkets.

Sunrise Sailing - Arched Acordion

This is a card that I made and plan to use it for my swaps this month since I only have to make three of them.  It was a a lot of work, but I really liked the final results.  The technique was inspired by Wandering Stamper but I used different stamp sets, colors, etc.  Here are my instructions on how I made this Accordion card.

Stamp Sets:  Sunrise Sailing Bundle, Go to Tags Bundle, Notes & Totes

Cardstock:  Night of Navy, Basic White, Cloud Cover, Two-Tone Pool Party

Ink:  Night of Navy, Pool Party, Daffodil Delight

Other:  Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine, Everyday Arches Dies, Sunrise Sailing Dies, Sunrise Sailing Hybrid Embossing Folder, Linen Thread, Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Mini Glue Dots, Paper Snips, Retired Stampin' Up! Sandpaper

1.      The base of the card is Night of Navy Cardstock cut at 3-1/2” x 8-1/2” and another one at 3-1/2” x 4”.  Score the 3-1/2” x 8-1/2” at 4” and 8”.  Adhere the 3-1/2” x 4” to the first one.

2.    Die cut three large Night of Navy arches using the largest arch die from the Everyday Arches Dies.

3.    Die cut a Basic White, Cloud Cover and Pool Party Two-Tone arches with the second largest arch die.

4.    Die cut a Pool Party Two Tone, two Basic White with the third largest arch die.

5.    For the front page, insert the Pool Party Two Tone Paper into the Hybrid Embossing Folder and use sandpaper or sand block to show the white image on the clouds, boat and water of the two-tone paper. Adhere to the 2nd largest Basic White arch.

6.    Die cut a Basic White label using the Go to Tags and stamp “Congrats” with Night of Navy ink.  Tie a double bow and attach with a Mini Glue Dot.  Adhere to the Night of Navy arch and adhere to the bottom of the base card (don’t adhere glue at the top of the arch).

7.    For the middle arch:  Attach the Cloud Cover arch to the Night of Navy arch. Die-cut Pool Party Two paper using the waves die from the Sunrise Sailing Dies and then use the 3rd largest arch so that it will fit to the bottom of the Basic White arch that is the same size but ink up the waves stamp with Pool Party ink and stamp it before adhering to the bottom of the Basic White arch. Die-cut a small sailboat using Night of Navy cardstock.  Die-cut the sails from the Two-Tone Pool Party Paper and adhere to the sailboat.  Die-cut a small cloud with the smallest cloud die and adhere with Stampin’ Dimensionals to the left. Ink up the sun from the Notes & Totes stamp set with Daffodil Delight ink.  Die-cut the flying seagulls and a rolled up glue dot to adhere two to the front page and one to the middle below the sun.

Attach to the base (again do not adhere glue to the top of the arch).

8.    The last page: Ink up sentiment “You’re Going Places” with Night of Navy ink. Adhere to the Night of Navy largest arch and attach to the base (again do not adhere glue to the top of the arch).

9.    With Paper Snips, trim off the left edge on the front page and the right edge on the last page.
