Inspired Thoughts - Thank You

I love trees!  I especially love tree stamps, so when I saw the preorder as a demo and saw this set called Inspired Thoughts which comes in a bundle, it was one of the first things on my wish list.  I used the Beauty of the Earth DSP for the sky and the leaves in the trees using the dies.  The base of my card is Early Espresso cardstock cut at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2".  Then,  I die-cut the Inspiring Canopy trees from Early Espresso cardstock too.  The sentiment "Thank You So Much" is stamped in Early Espresso ink on the Basic White label which was die-cut with the Beautiful Trees Dies (another tree set from the preorder that I also purchased)

Color and Contour - Case of page 98

Sometimes when I see a card sample in the catalog that I like, I want to try to recreate it with my stamps.  It doesn't always come out the same, but it helps inspire me to create more cards.  This is a card in the new 2021 Idea Book on page 98. I used the new In-Colors, Fresh Freesia, Polished Pink, and Soft Succulent on my card.  I made it into a thank you card basically because after I stamped the flowers, the sentiment the catalog used would not fit.  I used 3-x 5 post-it notes to cover areas to use the Blending Brushes and the new In-Colors for 2021-2023.  The base of my card is Fresh Freesia cardstock cut at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4" in the middle.  The scalloped Basic White is from the Scalloped Contour Dies which comes as a bundle with this set called Color and Contour to save 10%.  The flowers are stamped in Memento Black ink.

Color and Contour

Can you believe May is almost here?  It's almost time to plant flowers and I usually wait until Mother's Day. Although, I bought pansies in a hanging planter and they survived the snow last week in Indiana.  I'm not sure what the flower is in this card, but I made it Highland Heather ink with the new In-Color Soft Succulent Stampin' Blend for the stem and leaves.  I thought the two colors looked great together.  I made this card for my swap this month that I do with 5 other demonstrators each month.  It's a new stamp set that will be available to customers on May 4 which is another reason I can't wait until May.
The Scalloped Dies come in a bundle with this Color and Contour stamp set to save 10% on page 98 of the new catalog.  I will add the supplies to this card once it becomes available.  Thanks for looking!

Spiral Dye - Shirt

Tie-Dye shirt?  Why not?  I had this idea in my head after making the Spiral Dye cards and then I made the shirt with suspenders box, so I decided I wanted to create a card using the Spiral Dye and cut the cardstock to create the shirt. The base of my card is Polished Pink with a layer of Basic Black. First I used the Spiral Dye in the Stamparatus using the new In-Colors - Polished Pink and Fresh Freesia. I used the Suit & Tie Dies for the sleeves. The shirt is 2-1/8" x 3-7/8".  I first had it larger, but it didn't fit very well on my card.  The sentiment "You Are So Cool" is from my latest 2021 April Paper Pumpkin kit.  I stamped Polished Pink on Basic White and die cut it out with the Stitched Rectangle Dies and popped it up with Dimensionals.  The Spiral Dye will be available on May 4.

Spiral Dye - New In-Color Greens

If you lived back in the '60s, tie-dye shirts were so popular and through the years, they seem to come back again and again.  I did this Spiral Dye stamp with the new In-Color green inks - Evening Evergreen and Soft Succulent for a birthday card using the new Pansy Patch set for the sentiment.  I cut the Whisper White cardstock 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and placed in the Stamparatus horizontally.   Add the Spiral Dye to the Stamparatus plate.  Ink up the stamp with Evening Evergreen ink.  Clean off the stamp and turn the cardstock around 180 degrees angle and line up the stamp on the plate and ink it up with the Soft Succulent ink.  Remove the cardstock and cut it down to 3-3/4" x 5" and layers it onto Soft Succulent cardstock cut at 4" x 5-1/4" and attach to the 4-1/4" x 11" card base of Evening Evergreen.   Products will be available on May 4 for customers.  I was able to order everything on my preorder as a demo.  I also used the Double Oval Punch which is available now in the 2021 January-June Mini Catalog on pages 65 and 86.

Handsomely Suited - One More Time

I
I've just been having so much fun with this stamp set bundle "Handsomely Suited" and I actually bought the whole Suite which is on pages 66-67 of the 2021 January -June Mini Catalog.   I made this card for my son-in-law who has a birthday this coming Saturday.  The bundle is being carried over to the annual catalog but not the Designer Paper called Well Suite, or the Well Suited Twine Combo Pack.  It is available now through June 30.

Handsomely Suited

This card would be great for a groom or for the prom. I just love this stamp set and I knew I wanted to purchase it as soon as I saw it in the catalog.  The stamp set is called Handsomely Suited which is in the 2021 January-June Mini on pages 66-67.  It can be purchased as a Bundle to save 10% or as a Suite to get the Well-Suited DSP and Twine Comb Pack.  I used the retired Black Foil on the lapel, pocket, and bow tie.  The Black Rhinestone Jewels are also retired (see the ones on page 11 of the 2021 January June Mini Catalog), but I'm glad I kept them.
Here are my instructions:

1.     The base of the card is Thick Whisper White cardstock cut at 4-1/4” x 11” and scored at 5-1/2” in the middle.

2.    The Basic Black cardstock is cut at 4-1/4” x 5-1/2”.  Use the Suit and Tie Die “V” to cut out the top center for the suit.

3.    Die-cut a strip of Basic White using the die for the center of the shirt.  Attach to the middle of the “V” on the Basic Black before adhering to the card.  Cut off excess. Die-cut the collar from Basic White.  Adhere to the top.

4.    Die-cut the lapel, bowtie, and pocket strip using the Black Foil.  Adhere with Dimensionals. Put a little bit of Multipurpose Liquid Glue to hold the lapel in place at the “V”.

5.    Add the Black Rhine Jewels for the buttons.  The ones I used are retired by there are some in the 2021 January-June Catalog on page 11 that should work.

Spiral Dye Background Stamp - Happy Birthday card

This is a new background stamp called Spiral Dye that will be coming out next month on May 4 in the Stampin' Up! 2021-22 Annual Catalog.  I used two new In-Colors called Polished Pink and Fresh Freesia.
I inserted Basic White cardstock into the Stamparatus for the first color Polished Pink. Clean off the stamp. Then I turned the cardstock completely around (180 degrees) making sure the cardstock is in line with the stamp in the Stamparatus. The next color I used was the new Fresh Freesia.  The "Happy Birthday" is die-cut from the Birthday Chick Dies in the Stampin' Cut and Emboss Machine and adhered with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  The Basic Black cardstock really makes it pop!

Handsomely Suited

This is another card I made using the Handsomely Suited Bundle.  It makes for a great masculine card especially for the man who wears a suit to work every day.  The gray pin-stripe is from the Well-Suited Designer Series Paper that will be retiring at the end of June.  I can't wait to make more of these suit jackets and there is even a bow tie to use.

Handsomely Suited Birthday Card

Years ago, I created a card that I made into a suit jacket but I didn't have the dies to make it, so it was not very easy.  I was so happy to see that Stampin' Up! made the Handsomely Suited stamp with set with the Suit and Tie Dies to go with it.  Here is my first project using this Bundle from the January-June Mini catalog.
