Jar of Joy - Snowman with Misty Moonlight Ribbon

This is a card I made using the Jar of Joy stamp set.  It coordinates with the already popular Sweet Jar Bundle that came with the Sweet Jar Builder Punch. The original idea came from Erica Cerwin and it is a Z fun-fold card, but I added Misty Moonlight ribbon instead of the Mossy Meadow & Gold Ribbon that she used. It was a Stamp-a-Long with Erica and 5 other demonstrators.  I love snowman, so I'm so glad Stampin' Up! created this new stamp set that also has ornaments and a gingerbread man.

Jar of Joy with Forever Plaid

This is a card that my customers did at a recent workshop.  The original idea came from Michelle Littwiller video I watched, and I loved her card, but I used the Forever Plaid 3E Embossing Folder because the Corrugated 3D EF retired this month.  One of my customers loves Gingerbread Men.  She bakes them every Christmas season and they are so delicious.  Of course, the Red and White Backed Peppermints really make it pop!

Stamp Set:  Jar of Joy

Cardstock:  Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, and Real Red

Ink:  Early Espresso, Real Red

Other:  Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine, Sweet Jar Builder Punch, Forever Plaid 3D Embossing Folder, Textured Notes Dies, Read Red & White Baker’s Twine, Real Red & White Adhesive Backed Peppermints,  Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Mini Glue Dots, Stampin’ Dimensionals,

1.     The base of the card is Crumb Cake cardstock cut at 4-1/4” x 11” and scored at 5-1/2” in the middle.

2.    The second layer is Early Espresso cardstock cut at 4” x 5-1/4” and adhered to the front of the card base.

3.    The third layer is Real Red cardstock cut at 3-3/4” x 5” and inserted into the Forever Plaid 3D EF and run it through the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine.

4.    Adhere the Real Red embossed image to the Early Espresso layer with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

5.    Die-cut a rectangle from the Textured Notes Dies in Crumb Cake cardstock.

6.    Ink up the sentiment “Wishing You the Sweetest Christmas” with Early Espresso ink at the top of the rectangle.

7.    On a scrap of Crumb Cake cardstock, ink up the jar with Early Espresso ink.

8.    Now, take the gingerbread solid image stamp with Early Espresso ink and stamp inside the jar. Next, take the detailed outline image stamp with Real Red ink. (Tip:  Align with the gingerbread bow tie and buttons).

9.    Use the Sweet Jar Builder Punch to punch out the jar.  Use Real Red cardstock to punch out the lid and attach with a Mini Glue Dot or Multipurpose Glue.

10.  Tie a bow with the Red & White Baker’s Twine and attach to the lid with a Mini Glue Dot.

11.   Attach Textured Notes rectangle to the front of the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

12.  Add 3 Real Red & White Adhesive Backed Peppermints to the Textured Notes rectangle.

Humble Home and Jar of Joy Hoop Ornament for "Christmas in July" workshop

I bought these 3" hoops from Amazon, and made them as pillow gifts for my customers for our "Christmas in July" workshop.  they loved them!  Now, I want to try other sceneries.   I found this idea from Anna Wheaton a few years ago and watched her video on how to make them on YouTube.  She traced around the hoop but there is a 3" Circle Die from the Christmas Friends Dies that works much better and is perfect, but it is retired..  I used Saddle Brown Stazon to stain the hoop with a Dauber.  The little red bird is from the Beauty of Friendship Bundle.  I posted one last year, but this time I added the snowman from the Jar of Joy and cut him out with the Paper Snips.  Just create your scene and this one used the Humble Home, tree of Peaceful Evergreen, the Snowflake Embossing Folder. which aare all retired except the snowman.  More details can be found on her video Stampin' Up! Humble Home - Embroidery Hoop Ornament

Sunflower Embossing Folder

Here is another card I made using the Sunflower 3D Embossing Folder.  I used the debossed side and used Misty Moonlight for swiping across my card.  Then I used Daubers to add Old Olive leaves and Darling Duckling flower centers.  The sentiment "Hello" is from Sweet Blooms.

Sunflower 3D Embossing Folder

Here is another card I made using the Sunflower Embossing Folder.  This time I used a brayer in Bashful Blue ink on the Embossing Folder on the logo side and then inserted the Willow White cardstock.  I colored it in with the Stampin' Blends on the embossed side.

Here are my instructions:

Stamp Set:  Perfectly Pears (sentiment)

Cardstock:  Balmy Blue, White Willow, Basic White

Ink:  Balmy Blue with the brayer inked up the logo side of the embossing folder, Mossy Meadow

Stampin’ Blends:  Daffodil Delight, Darling Duckling, Timid Tiger, Mossy Meadow, Granny Apple Green, Pecan Pie

Other:  Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine, Sunflower 3D Embossing Folder, Brayer, Tags to Go Dies, Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Mini Glue Dots, Linen Thread

1.     The base of the card is Balmy Blue cardstock cut at 5-1/2” x 8-1/2” and scored at 4-1/4” in the middle.

2.    Ink up the Brayer with Bashful Blue ink on the logo side and insert 4” x 5-1/4” Willow White cardstock.  Run through the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine.

3.    Now, color the embossed side with the Stampin’ Blends.

4.    Adhere to the base of the card with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

5.    Die-cut a label from the Tags to Go Dies and stamp “A Good Friend is a Gift” from Perfectly Pears in Mossy Meadow ink.
