Snow Swirled

This card was fun to make and my good friend/customer Justine and I designed it together for her workshop last week. I had made a similar card last year and she wanted to change the colors. We decided we liked Night of Navy and Sage Shadow together. I also used the Word Window and Modern Label punches and the Movers and Shapers Modern Label Punch. We used Heat & Stick to add the Dazzling Diamonds.

Holy Triptych Votive Candle

This is a project I did at a couple workshops this week. The original idea came from Lori Stilger. It involves the Holy Triptych stamp set, Brushed Gold Card stock, Versamark pad, wide oval punch and vellum cardstock. Instead of a real votive candle, I used a flameless battery-operated candle.

Delightful Decorations Photo Card

This is a Christmas card that holds a photo inside. Whisper White cardstock is cut at 4 1/4" x 11" and scored at 2 3/4" on each end. I used the Delightful Decorations stamp set and the Jumbo Wheel Sparkle and Shine with Really Red ink.
The front part of the Whisper White is 2 3/4" x 2 3/4" and layered onto Real Red 3" x 3". The DSP is called Merry Moments and is measured 2 3/4" x 4 1/4" and attached to the card with Snail Adhesive. I used the Crop-a-dile to punch 3/16" holes to attach the Real Red Grosgrain Ribbon. On the inside I used a slit punch on Real Red cardstock so that a photo can be inserted.

Lexicon of Leaves

This set is on the dormant list, but I really like this set for fall cards. This is a card my customers made at a recent workshop. I used Really Rust, Basic Black and Very Vanilla cardstock. I also did the card for a card swap last month. I stamped the image with Jet Black Stazon on the Very Vanilla cardstock. Then I tore the edges and sponged them with Really Rust ink. I used Black Grosgrain Ribbon. I used the Scallop Oval Punch and the Large Oval Punch for the "Thanks" using dimensionals to adhere to the card.

Pumpkin Box

I found this idea from Jenn Zinck in early September. I decided to make one of my own the very same day. It uses the Pillow Box die, but I also used the Woodgrain background stamp set on mine.

Autumn Days

This is a set that very much reminds me of when I lived in Iowa and my father would hunt for this big, beautiful bird. I always loved their colorful feathers. I decided it would make a great stamp set to create cards for Fall and also a very masculine set that could be used all year. Mary Davidson created a card with this set using the Cracked Glass technique with Glassy Glaze Enamal and I was so inspired I knew I wanted to make a similar card using the same technique.

Embrace Life (Reinker Spread)

The technique from this card was originally created by Crystal French. This technique is called “reinker spread”. The idea was also cased from Diva who used the Pacific Point In-Color from Spring-Summer 2009.

Stamp Set: Embrace Life and Oval All
Cardstock: Shimmery, Tempting Turquoise, Whisper White
Ink: Versamark Pad, Whisper White Embossing Powder
Accessories: Heat Tool, Aqua Painter, Tempting Turquoise and Taken with Teal Reinkers, water spritzer, Whisper White grosgrain ribbon, Oval Punch, Scallop Oval Punch, Snail Adhesive, Dimensionals

You will need to emboss the Shimmery cardstock with the Versamark ink pad with the flower image. Then sprinkle the Whisper White Embossing Powder over it. Shake off the excess. Heat set with Heat Tool.

Next, you will need to spritz the Shimmery cardstock with water where there are actually puddles of water. Use the Aqua Painter to pick up the Tempting Turquoise and Taken with Teal reinkers and touch it to the puddle.
It will take about 10 minutes to dry after you reach your desired look.

Big Winner!

This is a box made with the Top Note die to put a deck of cards inside. I think my son will enjoy this box for his birthday. I used a deck of cards to measure the size of box lid and bottom.

Stamp Sets: Card Games and Game Night
Cardstock: Jackpot DSP, Very Vanilla, Real Red
Ink: Basic Black or Black Stazon,
Accessories: Big Shot, Top Note Bigz die, Corner Rounder, Paper Snips, 5/8” Grosgrain Real Red Ribbon, Large Oval Punch, Scallop Oval Punch, Sticky Strip and/or Snail Adhesive, Dimensionals, Jumbo Deck cards

Top of box: Cut out 4” x 5” Real Red cardstock. Score at 5/8” on 4 sides.

Bottom of box: Cut out 3 7/8” x 4 7/8” Very Vanilla Cardstock. Score at 5/8” on each side.

Cut out one Top Note die from the Jackpot DSP for the top. Stamp Card Game stamp in Basic Black or Black Stazon on Very Vanilla. Trim out with Paper Snips. Cut out a Real Red cardstock at 2” x 2½” . Use corner rounder on each of the four corners. Adhere Card Game stamped image to the Real Red piece. Stamp “Big Winner” on Very Vanilla Scrap. Punch out with Large Oval Punch. Using Real Red cardstock, punch out a Scallop Oval Punch. Layer oval to scallop oval with Snail Adhesive. Wrap red ribbon around the Top Note Die DSP that you cut out and adhere to the back. Attach oval layers to the top of the ribbon with a Dimensional. Use Sticky Strip to adhere to the top of the box for the lid.

Cut out one Top Note die from the Very Vanilla for the bottom. Adhere with Sticky Strip to the bottom of the box to create the box for your deck of cards.

Crazy for Cupcakes Shaving Cream

This is a birthday card made with shaving cream and reinkers. I dropped a couple drops of Tempting Turquoise and Lovely Lilac reinkers in shaving cream onto a plastic plate. I used a wooden skewer to swirls the colors and pressed Whisper White cardstock into the shaving cream. I lifted it up and scraped off the shaving cream and a paper towel to wipe off the excess. I let it dry before making my card.

"Just Buzzin' By" Gift-Card Holder

This is a gift card holder that I had my customers make recently at a workshop. I love this set. It was made with Yoyo Yellow cardstock cut at 4 1/4" x 11" and scored at 3", 5 1/2", and 8". I folded the scored lines with a Bone Folder to make nice creases. It will look like a "W". I applied Sticky Strip to the edges of one of the middle sections to hold the two middle sections together, but not on the center fold. On the center fold, I used the Word Window Punch to make the opening for a gift card by punching through the fold at both ends, but not pushing the punch all the way in (just half way). Then I used the 3/4" circle punch in the center.

Easter Chick

This is an Easter Chick. I saw all the other cute chicks made with the Big Shot and the Top Note Die, I wanted to make one of my own.

Easter Basket

This is an Easter Basket I made using the Scallop Envelope. Sorry, the picture is so blurry.

Easter Chick

Well, I can't believe I'm so far behind in my blogging. I completely missed March and now it's the last day in April. I have been busy though, so I will post some photos of some of my projects and then write about them later.

Polka Dot Punches Heart

This is a card I created using a couple of the new Sale-a-bration sets "Yummy" and "Polka Dot Punches" that I had my customers do at a recent workshop. We used Night of Navy cardstock, Bashful Blue cardstock, and Whisper White. They loved using the Big Shot using the Top Note Die. Ink was Night of Navy and the ribbon was the 1/4" Night of Navy Grosgrain ribbon. We used the new Full Heart punch that coordinated with the Polka Dot Punches SAB set.

Love You Much Top Note Die Candy Box

It was so much fun to make this candy box. I learned how to make it from Lyn Put's instructions that she had found on Splitcoast from KarenG. I didn't have light weight card board, so I cut up a cereal box to use instead. I used a glue stick to glue a piece of copy paper to the side of the cereal box. On the other side of the cereal box, I put Chocolate Chip card stock. Then I sandwiched all into my Sizzix Big Shot. I then ran the Candy Cane DSP through the Big Shot using the Top Note Die again. I trimmed the edge and glued it to the Chocolate Chip Top Note. I decorated the top using the Heart to Heat Punch, Trio Flower Punch, Crop-a-dile, Mini Glue Dots, Riding Hood Red Taffeta Ribbon.

Love You Much Valentine

This is my latest creation made with the Love You Much Bundle. I used the In-Colors Pink Pirouette and Riding Hood Red. The DSP is called Candy Cane which is also in the Bundle. I stamped the LOVE image with Black Stazon and colored it in with a Blender Pen and the Riding Hood Red ink pad. I used the Heart to Heart punch that came with the Bundle to punch out the hearts after I stamp them on Riding Hood Red cardstock. I also used the Scallop Circle Punch and used a 1/8" hand-held punch to punch out the holes. I used the Scallop Edge Punch on the Candy Cane DSP. I used dimensionals to attach two of the hearts. I used the 1" Circle Punch on the Hugs and Kisses and attached to the center of the Scallop Circle.

Yuletide Village with Frosted Forest trees in an arch

This is the card that I used for my monthly November swap.  The theme was "Christmas Card" but although there is no message on the...
