Kylie's Demonstrator Training Program - Blog Hop for August, 2022 - Perched in a Tree Thank You Card

Thank you for joining us for the Stampin' Up!® Demonstrator Training Program Monthly Blog Hop! I'm super excited to have you hop along and gather ideas and creative inspiration. We're a group of Stampin' Up demonstrators from around the world who are collaborating together to learn, share and grow our Stampin' Up businesses, and we all really appreciate your support.

You may be starting here or have come from another blog - either way you can find the link list at the bottom of this post so that you can jump from blog to blog easily. Make sure you check out all of the amazing projects!

So remember, if you place an order with me, this is one of the cards you will receive to thank you for your purchase.

This month, I have used the stamp sets "Perched in a Tree" and "Hello Beautiful"  for my customer thank you cards. That’s right! For my wonderful customers who shop with me during August 2022, you will receive a sampling of these products in the form of a hand-made thank you card from me. How exciting!

That's right, if you place an order with me this month I will send you this very thank you card to show you how much I appreciate your business. I started with using the 12" x 12" Rings of Love DSP that is in the 2022 Sale-a-Bration catalog that you can earn FREE with a $50 purchase. I then cut it at 3-3/4" x 5" and adhered it to Night of Navy cardstock cut at 4" x 5-1/4".  Then I Adhered it to 4-1/4" x 11" of Thick Basic White cardstock.

Next, I stamped the bird on Basic White cardstock and colored him with Stampin' Blends Balmy Blue and Daffodil Delight.  I die-cut him with the Aspen Tree Dies that come as a Bundle with the Perched in a Tree set to save 10%.  I cut a circle using the Stylish Shapes Dies and I stamped the tree limb in Soft Suede and colored in with Crumb Cake Stampin' Blends.  Then I added the bird with Dimensionals.  The "thank you" sentiment is from the Hello Beautiful set and stamped on Basic White with Night of Navy ink and then die-cut with the Beautiful Shapes Dies that coordinates with the set but is sold separately.  Pop it up with Dimensionals under the bird.  I then added three Brushed Metallic Dots to the card.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  As mentioned at the top, this is a blog hop so make sure you 'hop' around to all the amazing projects on this hop!  Click on the link below to visit them.

If you need any of the products I used on my card today, see the products below to go shopping at my 24/7 website.

Soft Seedlings

Today's card is made with Stampin' Up! Classic ink pads, Daubers, and an Old Olive Stampin Write Marker.  I initially tried the baby wipe technique, but I didn't like the outcome so I did a little more experimenting and love the colors in my leaves and seedlings.  The stamp set is called Soft Seedlings in the 2022 July-December Mini Catalog on page 53.  It comes with 6 Cling Stamps for $20 in the USA.  The background was made with the Leaf Fall 3D Embossing Folder on the same page, but the catalog picture doesn't give it justice.  It is so beautiful!  Here are my instructions:

Stamp Set:  Soft Seedlings

Cardstock:  Cherry Cobbler, Crushed Curry, Very Vanilla

Ink:  Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie, Cherry Cobbler, Stampin’ Write Old Olive Marker

Other:  Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine, Leaf Fall 3D Embossing Folder, Paper Trimmer, Daubers, Spritzer, Champagne Mist, 70% Alcohol, Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Dimensionals

1.     The base of the card is Cherry Cobbler cardstock cut at 5-1/2” x 8-1/2” and scored at 4-1/4” in the middle.

2.    The second layer is Crushed Curry cardstock cut at 4” x 5-1/4” and adhered with Multipurpose Liquid Glue to the front of the base.

3.    The third layer is Very Vanilla cardstock cut at 3-7/8” x 5-1/8” and inserted into the Leaf Fall 3D Embossing Folder and run through the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine.  Adhere to the Crushed Curry layer with Multipurpose Liquid Glue

4.    Cut Very Vanilla cardstock at 3” x 3-1/2” and Cherry Cobbler at 3-1/8” x 3-5/8”.

5.    Ink up the stamp with the Crushed Curry ink pad.  Then take a Dauber and add Pumpkin Pie around the center, then use a Dauber with Cherry Cobbler ink around the edges.  Don’t forget to add to the seedlings but keep the Crushed Curry as the main color.

6.    Ink up the sentiment “So Grateful” with Cherry Cobbler ink at the bottom.

7.    Adhere to the Cherry Cobbler layer and add Dimensionals to the back to add to the front of the card.

8.    I also sprayed it with Champagne Mist and 70% alcohol in a Spritzer to give it a little glimmer to the leaf.
