Friends are Like Seashells - Seaside Bay

This card was inspired by Wendy Lee but I just used the DSP and didn't stamp the used down the center.
I used the Seaside Bay stamp to stamp inside with sand and shells.

Stamp Set:  Friends are Like Seashells, Seaside Bay on the inside

Cardstock:  Night of Navy, Distressed Gold Specialty Paper, By the Bay DSP

Ink:  Night of Navy, Crumb Cake

Other:  Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine, Something Fancy Dies, Paper Trimmer, Bone Folder, Gold & Vanilla Satin Edged Ribbon, Paper Snips, Stampin’ Seal, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Flat Adhesive Backed Pearls

 

1.     The base of the card Night of Navy cardstock and is cut at 4-1/4” x 11” and scored at 5-1/2” in the middle.

2.    Adhere a 3-3/4” x 5” DSP to the center of the base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

3.    Cut the By the Bay DSP at 2-1/4” x 5-1/2”.  Adhere ½” x 5-1/2” of Distressed Gold Specialty Paper to the 2-1/4” x 5-1/2” DSP on either side with Stampin’ Seal.

4.    Ink up the stamp from Friends are Like Seashells with Night of Navy ink on Basic White cardstock.  Die cut with the Something Fancy Dies in the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine.  Adhere Stampin’ Seal to the back and cross-cross about 8 inches of Gold and Vanilla Satin Edged Ribbon to the back.  Add Dimensionals and adhere to the bottom center.

5.    Add three Flat Adhesive Backed Pearls.

6. On the inside, ink up the sand and shells with Crumb Cake ink and stamp on Basic White cardstock cut at 4" x 5-1/4".  Adhere with adhesive.

Nested Friends

 

I fell in love with this bird set Nested Friends in the 2023 January-April Mini Catalog on page 25.  It comes as a bundle with the Nested Friends Dies, so it makes it easier to design your cards.  I also used the Framed Florets Dies which is also another favorite for mine.  I was inspired by a card from Amy K but I changed the colors.

Stamp Set:  Nested Friends

Cardstock:  Tahitian Tide, Basic White, Flowers & More DSP

Ink:  Tuxedo Black Memento

Stampin’ Blends:  Crumb Cake, Old Olive, Petal Pink, Tahitian Tide, Soft Suede

Other:  Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine, Nested Friends Dies, Framed Florets Dies, Stylish Shapes Dies, Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Multipurpose Liquid Glue, 2022-2024 In-Color Matte Decorative Dots

 

1.     The base of the card is Tahitian Tide cardstock cut at 4-1/4” x 11 and scored at 5-1/2” in the middle.

2.    The second layer is Basic White cardstock cut at 4” x 5-1/4”.  The third layer is Flowers & More DSP cut at 3-3/4” x 5.  Adhere the two layers together with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

3.    Die cut the large Framed Florets Die from Basic White cardstock. Adhere to the front of the card with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Add the Basic White oval die-cut with the Framed Florets Die with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

4.    Ink up the nest stamp with Tuxedo Black Memento ink.  Color it in with the light Crumb Cake Blend.  Color the leaves with the Old Olive Blend.

5.    Ink up the tree branch with Tuxedo Black Memento and color in with the Soft Suede Blends. Color the leaves with Old Olive Blends

6.    Ink up the bird with Tuxedo Black Memento and color him in with Petal Pink and Tahitian Tide.

7.    Die-cut the branch, nest, and bird with the Nested Friends Dies.

8.    Attach the tree branch with Dimensionals cut in smaller pieces.  Add the nest with Dimensionals.  Add the bird with Glue Dots into the nest.

9.    Ink up the sentiment “Birthday Wishes” with Tuxedo Black Memento ink on Basic White cardstock.  Die-cut with the Stylish Shapes circle.  Attach with Dimensionals.

10.  Add three Tahitian Tide Decorative Dots.

Dainty Flowers DSP meets Art Gallery

This is a birthday card I made for a friend of mine.  I used the sentiment "Happy Birthday" from the Art Gallery stamp set in the annual catalog, and I used the new Happy Labels Pick a Punch.  I love this Designer Series Paper, but it is expiring the end of this month.  It can be earned free with a $50 order from me.

Stamp Set:  Art Gallery

Cardstock:  Evening Evergreen, Crushed Curry, Dainty Flowers DSP

Ink:  Evening Evergreen

Other:  Paper Trimmer, 3/8” Evening Evergreen Windowpane Check Ribbon, Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Happy Labels Pick a Punch, Brushed Brass Butterflies

 

1.     The base of the card is Evening Evergreen cardstock cut at 4-1/4” x 11” and scored at 5-1/2” in the middle.

2.    The second layer is Crushed Curry cardstock cut at 4” x 5-1/4”.  The third layer is the DSP cut at 3-3/4” x 5”.  Adhere the two layers with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Wrap ribbon around the bottom and put Scotch tape in the back.  Hold in front with Glue Dots.

3.    Tie a faux bow on the left side.

4.    Ink up the sentiment “Happy Birthday” from the Art Gallery stamp set on Basic White cardstock.  Punch the label out with the Happy Labels Pick a Punch.  Attach with Dimensionals.

5.    Add three of the Brushed Brass Butterflies.

Stamp Set:  Lucky Clover

Cardstock:  Thick Basic White, Granny Apple Green, Cajun Craze, Petal Pink, Dandy Designs DSP

Ink:  Granny Apple Green

Other:   Paper Trimmer, Bone Folder, Gnome Dies, Stampin’ Dimensionals and Mini Dimensionals, Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Paper Snips, Glue Dots, Pastel Adhesive Backed Sequins, 2022-2024 In-Color Matte Decorative Dots,

 

1.     The base of the card is Thick Basic White cardstock cut at 5-1/2” x 8-1/2” and scored at 2-1/8” and 4-1/4”.  Use the Bone folder to burnish the scored lines.

2.    Cut Granny Apple Green cardstock at 3-1/4” x 4-1/4”.  Cut the DSP at 3” x 4” and layer together with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

3.    Cut a strip of Basic White cardstock at ¾” x 5” and ink up the sentiment “Happy St. Patrick’s Day!” with Granny Apple Green ink and stamp it on the far-right side of the strip.  Adhere to the middle of the two layers.

4.    Adhere the lower half of the two layers to the card with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

5.    Create the Gnome Leprechaun with Cajun Craze for his bear, Granny Apple Green for his hat and feet and shamrock stem, Petal Pink for his nose and hands using the Gnome Dies.  Ink up the small cluster of shamrocks stamps on his hat with Granny Apple Green.

6.    Attach the Gnome Leprechaun with Dimensionals on the back to the left side. 

7.    Stamp the medium size shamrock with Granny Apple Green on Granny Apple Green cardstock.  Trim it out with the Paper Snips.

8.    Attach the shamrock with Mini Dimensionls and Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I put a Decorative Dot in the middle of the shamrock.

9.    On the inside, cut a strip of DSP at 1-1/4” x 5-1/2” and adhere to the bottom of the inside with Multipurpose Liquid G.  Then add a ¼” x 5-1/2” Granny Apple Green strip with Mini Dimensionals cut in half.  Attach just above the DSP strip.  Add 3 to 5 gold Sequins (to represent lucky coins).
