Snowflakes Wishes - Standard Card and Slimline card

It's not the time for Snowflakes in the air just yet, but it is time to make Christmas cards with the new Snowflakes Wishes set.  As a demonstrator, I do monthly swaps with other demos and I received the standard card from a fellow demo, Cooki  Osinski a few months ago.  At the time, I was wanting to create the Slimline cards, so I thought why not try to create her card doing a Slimline and I really like the results.  She used the Winter Snow Embossing Folder and I was wondering how I could use it in a Slimline card since the card would be longer than the embossing folder.  No problem!  All I did was emboss it once and then turn it around to emboss the other side.  The only problem was there was a line in the middle, so the Highland Heather cardstock cut using Stitched Rectangles would cover it up.
She also used the Balmy Blue Glimmer Paper to die cut her snowflakes.  How come one of them is Highland Heather?  You can get that effect by using Versamark, Clear Embossing, Highland Heather ink, and the Heat Tool.  I don't know if that was the way she did it but it was the way I did it.  Although, I think she did several more coats than I did.  The sentiment is stamped with the new In-Color Misty Moonlight The Snowflake Splendor DSP also adds a lot to this card and I would have never put these two colors (Highland Heather and Balmy Blue) together, but I really like them, don't you?

Painted Poppies - Sympathy

It seems we always need a sympathy card, and I seem to have needed a lot of them lately.  This card was inspired by Karen Hallem.  Here are my instructions:

1.     The base of the card is Thick Whisper White cardstock cut at 4-1/4” x 11” and scored at 5-1/2” in the middle.
2.    The second layer is Basic Black cardstock cut at 4” x 5-1/4” and adhered to the front of the card with Multipurpose Glue.
3.    The third layer is Highland Heather.  Use the Stitched Be Mine Die to die cut a heart from the Highland Heather layer.  Set the heart insert aside to use in another card later.
4.    Cut Whisper White cardstock at 3-3/4” x 4-1/4” and ink up the flowers with Memento Black to stamp at the bottom.
5.    Use Multipurpose Glue to adhere to the Whisper White to the Highland Heather.
6.    Glue the heart-shaped scalloped outline Highland Heather heart to the inside of the heart.
7.    Color in the flowers with the Stampin’ Blends.  Ink up the sentiment “Thinking of You With All My Heart” with Blackberry Bliss ink and stamp above it the flowers.

Vibrant Vases

Highland Heather is one of my favorite colors and I sure wish the Gingham Gale DSP wasn't retiring.  I love it and all the colors.  This idea was cased by Tracy Bradley.  The "Friend" is from the Well-Said Dies which are being carried over.  The Country Floral Embossing Folder is also carrying over but can't be purchased until June 4, 2019.

Here are my instructions for this card:

1.     Cut a piece of Highland Heather cardstock that measures 11″ x 4-1/4″ and score at 5-1/2” in the middle.
2.    Cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock that measures 5-1/4″ x 4″. Adhere to the base of the card.
3.    Cut a piece of Gingham Gala Designer Series Paper that measures 5″ x 3-3/4″.  Adhere to the Whisper White layer.
4.    Using the Layering Squares Framelits, Dies, cut a square out of Whisper White cardstock and another out of Highland Heather cardstock. Run the Whisper White piece through the Big Shot using the Country Floral Embossing Folder.  Adhere the embossed piece to the Highland Heather. Add Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back and attach to the front of the card.
5.    On a piece of Whisper White cardstock, stamp both the vase and flowers from the stamp set Vibrant Vases using Memento Ink. Color both images using Granny Apple Green and Highland Heather Stampin’ Blends.
6.    Use the Vases Builder Punch to cut out the vase.  Fussy cut the flowers.  Add Snail adhesive to the vase and attach to the embossed Whisper White square.  Add Stampin’ Dimensionals to the flowers and place them at the top of the vase.
7.    Remove the protective sheet from a Multipurpose Adhesive Sheet and adhere a piece of Gorgeous Grape to it.  With the Gorgeous Grape cardstock, right side up, place the die “friend” from the Well Written Framelits Dies on top of it.  Run it through the Big Shot.  Remove the backing sheet from the word “Friend” and adhere it on the card.

Easter Basket - Hello, Spring

Rather than an Easter Basket, I made a Spring bouquet for my basket.  I love daffodils, and although there are other flowers in this Easter ...
