Mailbox Tin

Finally found some time to stamp today. These are some tin mailboxes that I picked up at Target for a $1.00. At school this week we are going to be doing Crazy Cupids (sort of like Secret Pals) for just 4 days. I thought I'd make my pal some stamped items and hopefully, she won't guess it's me right away. I have been using this Valentine set a lot recently, but I just adore it especially the little mouse stamp.
I found the instructions from Emily Giovanni: http://emilygiovanni.com/?p=1520

Flip Tag Card - Open

I thought I'd better post a picture of what the Flip Tag Card looks like when it is open. I used the 5/8" Regal Rose Grosgrain Ribbon so that the tag can be pulled to open it. I forgot to mention that I stamped the image on the Rose Red Designer paper and cut out the heart to fit on top of the image I stamped on the Whisper White cardstock. I'd tried coloring it in first. Then I tried to emboss it and finally decided I'd like the DS paper the best.

Flip Tag Card

This month has really flown by and I thought it was time to post some of my current work. This is the first time I've made a Flip Tag Card and I thought it was a lot of fun. I found the instructions for making them by Phyllis Strickland. Although, I changed the measurements somewhat so that it would fit an envelope for my monthly swap group. Since it's almost Valentine's Day, I chose "Happy Heart Day" for the set as well as using the Floral Background. Cardstock is Rose Red, Regal Rose and Whisper White.

Post-It Note Holders

Tomorrow morning, I'm having breakfast with the speech-language pathologists for annual holiday get together. I'm their assistant at our schools, and I always make them a little stamping project each Christmas. Some of the sets I used are retired, but it doesn't matter to them since none of them are stampers (unfortunately). However, they do enjoy receiving my stamping projects. The idea and instructions on how to make them came from Chi Chi Allen which is posted on one of my archive posts.

Lip Balm Holders

I've been busy this week making some Lip Balm Holders. I purchased the Lip Balms at Jo-Ann Fabric's. They were in a package of 7 for $9.99 and they all had snowmen on them with different flavors. The instructions for the lip balm holders came from Yvette and they were fun to make.

Snow and Snowman

This card is made with the Jumbo "Snow" Wheel from the Stampin' Up! Holiday Mini Collection 2007. I used the Hunter Green ink cartridge on the white cardstock. I also used the Stampin' Up! Wintergreen Designer Series Paper at the top of the card. The set I used is "Merry and Bright" in the Holiday Mini Collection 2007. I was inspired by another demo, Gwen Mangelson, to make this card, but she used a different stamp set. Unfortunately, the Hunter Green ribbon is retired but I really liked it best with this card. The Holiday Mini ends today and I think it's been of my favorite minis.

BB Games

This time of year I like to make a lot of homemade, holiday gifts to share with my friends and family, so I thought this would be fun and easy to make. Vickie Maduzia, a very talented stamper shared this idea with a group of us. This is made with a little party favor tin and some BB's and the rest is all Stampin' Up! products. This little BB game would make a nice little stocking stuffer. Or, it could be used as a magnet for the refrigerator.
