Easter Blossoms
I've been away from my blog for awhile because of the loss of my very dear mother-in-law. I was lucky to have her in my life. She was a great lady and I will miss her so much. This is a card I did in February before that sad day. It is made using the stamp set "Easter Blossoms" from the Occasions Mini catalog. I used Marina Mist cardstock and used the Framed Tulips Embossing Folder on the front of the card. I inked up the blossoms with Black Stazon and stamped on Glossy White cardstock. Then I took a white crayon and colored in each blossoms. Then I used a sponge on the lower part with Garden Green and then another sponge for the top part using Marina Mist ink. Afterwards, I took a tissue to wipe off the excess crayon to create the "crayon resist" technique. Afterwards, I layered the glossy onto Garden Green card stock and then again on Basic Black to attach to the front of the card. I inked up "Sending Springtime Smiles" with the Black Stazon on Whisper White cs and used the large oval punch to punch it out. Then used the Scallop Oval punch in Garden Green card stock. Attach the punched oval to the scallop oval using Snail Adhesive and attach to the lower right side o the card with dimensionals. Tie a bow in the Marina Mist Grosgrain Ribbon and attach to the upper left side of the card with a Glue Dot.
