Oh My Fright - Spooktacular Halloween Card

This card was inspired by Amy Koenders. I watched other videos of demos who made similar cards to help me trim my Designer Series Paper. Since it is 6" x 6", I cut 1-1/2" off each side. It left me 3" for the middle, but I wanted it to be 2-7/8", so I trimmed 1/16" off each side. I also trimmed from the top and bottom to make it 2-7/8" x 5-1/8" for the front flap.

Here are my instructions:

Stamp Set: Oh My Fright

Cardstock: Basic Black, Granny Apple Green, Spooktacular 6x6 DSP

Ink: Versamark, Memento Black

Other: Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine, Embossing Powder, Heat Tool, Words & Wishes Dies, Multipurpose Glue, Black Journaling Pen, Adhesive Backed Ghosts & Bats

1. The base of the card is Basic Black cardstock cut at 5-1/2” x 8-1/2”. Trim 1” from the edge of the base to make it 5-1/2” x 7-1/2”.

2. Cut the panel around the face of the DSP at 2-7/8” x 5-1/8”. Adhere the DSP panel to Granny Apple Green cardstock cut to 3” x 5-1/4”.

3. Adhere the layered panels to the card front.

4. Use the embossing Buddy on the Basic Black label (die-cut from the Words & Wishes Dies) to remove excess oils, etc. Ink the sentiment “Trick or Treat” onto the Basic Black label with Versamark ink. Then sprinkle White Embossing Powder over it. Shake off excess powder. Heat set with the Heat Tool until it shines. Adhere to the front below the face with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

5. For the inside, the Basic White cardstock is cut at 2-3/4” x 5-1/4 and adhered inside to the left. Then, on the right, add the long strip of the 1-1/4”x 5-1/4” orange and black DSP. I stamped a spider web in the left corner and the smiley spider at the bottom left. Then I drew a line with the Black Journaling Pen, but you can decorate it any way you wish.

6. Optional: You can add a ghost or bat to the front, if you wish. You can also add the white circles to his eyes.

Oh My Fright - Fun Fold Card

Aren't these little ghosts and bats adorable? They are from the Oh My Fright Bundle. I used Black Dimensionals behind the ghosts' eyes. The bats' eyes are poked out, but if not, you could add a white Gel Pen. Those little adhesive ghosts were added to the banner. See the instructions for this sweet card. I cased this card from Rosemarie Gonzalez for a Facebook group I joined last month called Creep It Crafty.

Stamp Set: Oh My Fright

Cardstock: Basic Gray, Basic White, Pumpkin Pie, Frightfully Fun DSP

Ink: Tuxedo Black Memento

Other: Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine, Oh My Fright Dies, Nested Essential Dies, 3/8” Iridescent Ribbon, Adhesive Backed Bats, Ghosts & Dots, Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Black Stampin’ Dimensionals, and Mini Glue Dots

1. The base of the card is Basic Gray cardstock cut at 4-1/4” x 10-1/2” and scored at 5-1/2”.

2. Cut the Frightfully Fun DSP at 4” x 4-3/4” (spooky tree). Adhere to the front of the Basic Gray card base.

3. Die-cut the large tag from the Oh My Fright Dies using Basic Gray cardstock. Score the tag at ½ from the bottom. Fold, burnish, and adhere to the bottom of the inside of the card base with adhesive.

4. Die-cut the tree and 3 bats from Basic Black cardstock. Poke out the bats’ eyes.

5. Die-cut two ghosts from Basic White cardstock. Attach Black Stampin’ Dimensionals behind the eyes.

6. Adhere the tree with dots (not a lot) of Multipurpose Glue and attach to the front of the Basic Gray tag, but do not cover the hole for the ribbon.

7. Die-cut a Pumpkin Pie cardstock banner using the Nested Essential Dies. Ink up “Happy Halloween” with Tuxedo Black Memento on the Pumpkin Pie banner and adhere Stampin’ Dimensionals to the bottom of the tag only before adhering the banner.

8. Add a ghost on the tag and one above the tag. Add two bats to the DSP with Mini Glue Dots.

9. Add ribbon to the tag through the hole or use a Mini Glue Dot. Tie a bow or faux bow. Trim off excess.

10. For the inside: Cut a 4” x 5-1/4” Basic White cardstock and adhere the 1” x 4” (swirl sheet) DSP at the bottom. Adhere to the inside of the card so that it covers the ½” of the tag.

11. Add the third bat to the inside at the top right with a Glue Dot.
