It's Your Birthday - Oceanfront

We have our big snow coming this week, so I wish I could be on a warm beach somewhere.
This is a combination of The Oceanfront stamp set, the Horizon Dies, and the sentiment is from Mischievous Mice.  Here are the instructions for my card:

Stamp Set:  Oceanfront, Mischievous Mice

Cardstock:  Bermuda Bay, Basic White

Ink:  Bermuda Bay, Coastal Cabana, Balmy Blue, Night of Navy, Sahara Sand, Soft Suede

Other:  Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine, Horizon Dies, Layering Circles Dies, Baker’s Twine Essential Pack (Crumb Cake), Dauber, Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Dimensionals

 

1.     The base of the card is Bermuda Bay cardstock cut at 5-1/2” x 8-1/2” and scored at 4-1/4” in the middle.

2.    The second layer is Basic White cardstock cut at 4” x 5-1/4”.  Ink up the sky stamp first with Coastal Cabana at the very top.  Clean off stamp and ink up with Bermuda Bay and stamp below the Coastal Cabana sky

3.    The water image stamp is inked up with Balmy Blue ink and add Night of Navy ink with a Dauber to the edge of the stamp and then stamp it below the Bermuda Bay sky.

4.    Add Sahara Sand ink to the sand stamp at the bottom.  Stamp several times.  Add the sand pebbles stamps with Soft Suede as well as the grass on the left side.

5.    Die-cut the fence and add to the lower right side with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

6.    Ink up the sentiment “It’s Your Birthday” with Bermuda Bay ink from the Mischievous Mice stamp set on Basic White.  Die-cut with the Layering Circles Dies.  Die-cut a Bermuda Bay scallop circle.  Layer together with Stampin’ Seal.  Add Baker’s Twine and Dimensionals.  Add to the front of the card.

I used the new Gentle Waves background stamp set from the 2022 January-June Mini catalog to make this card as well as the 3D Bark Embossing Folder from the Annual Catalog.  Here are my instructions for making this card:

Stamp Set:  Awesome Otter, Gentle Waves

Cardstock:  Daffodil Delight, Pacific Point, Basic White

Ink:  Tuxedo Black Memento, Pacific Point

Stampin’ Blends:  Daffodil Delight, Night of Navy, Crumb Cake, Petal Pink

Other:  Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine, Bark 3D Embossing Folder, Paper Snips, Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Dimensionals

 

1.     The base of the card is Daffodil Delight cardstock cut at 4-1/4” x 11” and scored at 5-1/2” in the middle.

2.    The second layer is Pacific Point cardstock cut at 4” x 5-1/4” and inserted into 3D Bark Embossing Folder and run through the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine.  Layer onto the base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

3.    The third layer is Basic White cardstock cut at 3-3/4” x 4”.  Ink up the Gentle Waves stamp with Pacific Point ink and lay the Basic White cardstock on top of it with the rubber facing up.  Take a piece of scrap paper to layer over and rub with your hands over the top.  Adhere to the front of the card with Multipurpose Liquid Glue with the whiter edge at the top as though the sun was glistening on it.

4.    Ink up the otter with Tuxedo Black Memento ink as well as his birthday hat, and color it in with the Stampin’ Blends.  Cut him out adding a section of the water.

5.    Cut a strip of Daffodil Delight cardstock at ½” x 2-1/4” and ink up the sentiment “It’s Birthday Time!” with Pacific Point ink.  Adhere the sentiment strip to the otter where the water is.  Add Dimensionals on the back and adhere to the front of the card.

Grassy Grove - Happy Birthday

This is another card that I did using the Grassy Grove and the New Horizons DSP.  The base of my card is Rich Razzleberry which is not one of the colors in the DSP but I think I liked it better with this particular background.  Here are my full instructions:

Stamp Set:  Grassy Grove, Special Moments

Cardstock:  Rich Razzleberry or cardstock colors from the New Horizons to match (Blackberry Bliss, Calypso Coral, Evening Evergreen, Fresh Freesia, Garden Green, Misty Moonlight, Old Olive, Pale Papaya, Polished Pink, Soft Succulent) Basic Black, Basic White, New Horizons DSP

Ink: Tuxedo Black Memento,

Other:  Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine, Grove Dies, Multipurpose Glue, Paper Snips, Tailored Tag Punch

 

1.     The base of the card is Rich Razzleberry cardstock cut at 5-1/2” x 8-1/2” and scored at 4-1/4” in the middle. (or

2.    The Basic Black layer is 4” x 5-1/4” and inserted into the Grove Dies to create the trees and grass die.

3.    The layer of DSP is 3-3/4” x 5” and is adhered to the back of the Basic Black die-cut layer.

4.    Die-cut the large deer from the middle section of Basic Black cardstock leftover. Adhere to the front of the Grove Die with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

5.    Adhere to the base of the Rich Razzleberry base card.

6.    Ink up sentiment “Happy Birthday” with Tuxedo Black Memento ink on a strip of Basic White cardstock and banner the ends with the Tailored Tag Punch.   Adhere to the top with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

7.    For the inside:  Cut Basic White at 4” x 5-1/4” and add the sentiment “for someone who is Wonderful in every way”.  Add a strip of DSP with adhesive. Die-cut a small deer from a scrap of Basic Black cardstock.  Adhere with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Butterflies and Flowers Layering Masks - Sympathy Card

 

This is a sympathy card that I made for a friend of mine who just lost her brother.  I lost my brother recently too, so I wanted to send her a card and try this technique that I learned from Kylie Bertucci.
Here are my instructions on how I made this card:

Stamp Set:  Peaceful Moments

Cardstock:  Basic Black, Rich Razzleberry, Very Vanilla

Ink:  Rich Razzleberry

Other:  Butterflies & Flowers Layering Decorative Masks, Masking Tape or Packaging Tape, Blending Brush, Multipurpose Liquid Glue

 

1.     The base of the card is Basic Black cardstock cut at 4-1/4” x 11” and scored at 5-1/2” in the middle.

2.    The second layer is Rich Razzleberry cardstock cut at 4” x 5-1/4”.

3.    The third layer is Very Vanilla cardstock cut at 3-3/4” x 5”.

4.    Cover the butterfly mask with package tape exposing only the butterfly.  Layer one of the other mask over the butterfly and tape it down so it doesn’t move.

5.    Begin inking up the Blending Brush with Rich Razzleberry ink and blend design into the butterfly.

6.    Add the sentiment of choice from the Peaceful Moments stamp set or the Special Moments SAB set with Rich Razzleberry ink.

7.    Adhere with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

8.    Inside:  Do one butterfly and add a sentiment of choice with Rich Razzleberry ink.
