Sweetest Cherries - Scratch and Sniff Card - Joyful Fun Fold

This is the Sweetest Cherries stamp set which has a punch that will coordinate with it, but they are sold separately in the 2023-2024 Annual Catalog.  It sold as a bundle the year before.  It is a fun-fold card besides being a scratch and sniff card.  It was really fun to make, and I learned this technique from Lee Ann Greff.  I have made scratch and sniff cards before, but it was fun to use the Dark Cherry Kool-Aid and Clear Embossing Powder mixed.  It smells delicious!

Stamp Set:  Sweetest Cherries

Cardstock:  Real Red, Basic Black, Basic White, Zoo Crew DSP

Ink:  Tuxedo Black Memento, Real Red, Crumb Cake, Versamark, Clear Embossing Powder,

Other:  Paper Trimmer, Black Cherry Sugar-Free Kool Aid, Embossing Buddy, Heat Tool, Cherry Builder Punch, Glue Dots, Black & White Gingham Ribbon, Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Festive Pearls

1.     The base of the card is Real Red cardstock cut at 4-1/4” x 8-1/5” and scored at 5-1/2”.

2.    The Zoo Crew DSP (black and white) is cut at 2-1/2” x 4” and adhered to the front flap with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

3.    For the inside layer, cut Basic Black cardstock at 3-1/4” x 8” and score at 4-3/4”.  Center the long end to the inside and adhere with Multipurpose Liquid Glue, so that the short end overlaps the front flap.

4.    Cut Basic White cardstock at 3” x 3”.

5.    Ink up the sentiment's “friend” or ‘birthday wishes” for the 3” x 3” Basic White square at the very top.

6.    On scrap Basic White, ink up two cherry stamps with Real Red ink.  Let dry completely!  Use the Embossing Buddy over the two cherries. Then apply Versamark on top of the Real Red cherries.  Sprinkle the Clear Embossing and Kool-Aid mixture over the top.  Shake off excess.   Heat set with the Heat Tool.

7.    Kool-Aid Mixture:  1 pkg. of Black Cherry Kool-Aid and 1 tsp. Clear Embossing Powder.  Mix well and then each time before you use it again.

8.    Ink up the stems with Crumb Cake ink on a strip of Basic White cardstock, and make sure you stamp at each end so that the punch will be able to punch them out (not upside down), and use the punch to punch them out and the cherries.

9.    Use a Glue Dot rolled up to attach the stems to the 3” x 3” Basic White square under the sentiment.

10.  Adhere the right cherry with Multipurpose Liquid Glue, pop up the left cherry with Stampin'Dimensionals.

11.   Tie a bow with the Black and White Gingham Ribbon and attach to the top of the stems with a Glue Dot.

12.  For the inside, cut Basic White cardstock at 3” x 4-1/2” and ink up the sentiment with a Real Red “Sweet” in the middle.  Add in Tuxedo Black “Wishing You A” ….” Day” or the “birthday Wishes”.  Adhere with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

13.  Optional:  Add 3 Cherry Cobbler Festive Pearls.

So Very Merry - Santa

This another card made with the So Very Merry and in my mind, I was thinking of Santa and his belt, but it might not represent what I had figured in my head.  But oh well, I still like this card.  This time I stamped the Santa stamp on Vellum but used Black Stazon.  Then I turned it over to color him in with the Stampin' Blends.  I used the sentiment from the Trucking Along set.

Stamp Set:  So Very Merry, Trucking Along

Cardstock:  Real Red, Basic White, Basic Black, Vellum, Gold Foil

Ink:  Tuxedo Black Memento, Black Stazon

Stampin’ Blends:  Azure Afternoon, Smoky Slate, Real Red

Other:  Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine, Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder, Stylish Shapes Dies, Nested Essentials Dies, Wink of Stella, Paper Snips, Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Silicone Craft Sheet, Small Blending Brush, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Festive Pearls

1.     The base of the card is Real Red cardstock cut at 5-1/2” x 8-1/2” and scored at 4-1/4” in the middle.

2.    The second layer is Basic White cardstock cut at 4” x 5-1/4” and inserted into the Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder and run through the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine.

3.    Die-cut the 2nd largest Nested Essentials Dies with Basic Black cardstock.  Cut in half, and adhere to each side with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

4.    Ink up the Santa stamp with Black Stazon and stamp on the Vellum.  Immediately, clean off the stamp to remove the permanent ink before it dries.

5.    Turn the Vellum over to color on the back with the Stampin’ Blends.  Turn back over and add Wink of Stella to his beard and white parts on his cap.  With Paper Snips, trim it out the circle.

6.     Use the Silicone Craft Sheet to put Multipurpose Liquid Glue and use the Small Blending Brush to add the glue to the back of the Santa Vellum and then adhered it to the Gold Foil circle die-cut with the Stylish Shapes 2nd to the largest circle die.

7.    Add Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back and adhere to the center of the card.

8.    Ink up the sentiment “Wishing You a Festive Christmas” from the Trucking Along Stamp with Tuxedo Black Memento on Basic White cardstock.  Die-cut with the 2nd largest banner die.  Die-cut a Real Red banner die. Cut it in half and add to the back of the Basic White Banner at each end with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Then add Stampin’ Dimensionals and adhere to the bottom of the card.

9.  Add 3 Festive Pearls at the top.

So Very Merry - (Angel) - Rays of Light and Perched in a Tree

I'm having so much fun with the So Very Merry set because I love stained glass, and this set has several different stamps to color in.  It can be found on the Online Exclusives and not in any of the catalog.  I thought the Rays of Light background stamp would go perfect with this angel.  The sentiment is from Perched in a Tree, but both of those sets are from the 2023-2024 Annual Catalog.  Of course, using the Wink of Stella makes it even more glamorous.

Stamp Sets:  So Very Merry, Perched in a Tree, and Rays of Light

Cardstock:  Misty Moonlight, Basic White, Crushed Curry

Ink: Versamark, Daffodil Delight, Misty Moonlight, Gold Embossing Powder

Stampin’ Blends: Boho Blue, Daffodil Delight

Other:  Stamparatus, 2-3/8” Circle Punch, Stylish Shapes, Nested Essentials,

Paper Trimmer, Embossing Buddy, Heat Tool, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Wink of Stella

1.     The base of the card is Misty Moonlight cardstock cut at 5-1/2” x 8-1/2” and scored at 4-1/4” in the middle.

2.    The second layer is a large piece of Basic White cardstock inserted into the Stamparatus and ink up the Rays of Light stamp with Daffodil Delight.  Once satisfied, removed and trim down to 4” x 5-1/4” with the Paper Trimmer.  Adhere to the front of the card with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

3.      Use the Embossing Buddy and then ink up the angel on Basic White cardstock with Versamark ink.  Then sprinkle with Gold Embossing Powder.  Shake off the excess and heat set with the Heat Tool.

4.    Color in the angel with the Stampin’ Blends.  Punch it out with the 2-3/8” Circle Punch.  Add Wink of Stella.

5.    With the largest circle from the Stylish Shapes, die-cut a Crushed Curry circle.

6.    Layer the angel layer onto the Crushed Curry Circle with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Pop it up with Stampin’ Dimensionals and add to the card front over the hole in the Rays of Light.

7.    Ink up the sentiment “Let Heaven and Nature Sing” from the Perched in a Tree set with Misty Moonlight ink on Basic White cardstock.  Die-cut with the Nested Essentials small rectangle.  Die-cut a Misty Moonlight banner from the Stylish Shapes largest label.  Cut in half and add to the Basic White sentiment at each end and add Stampin’ Dimensionals to add to the lower right-hand corner of the card.
