I {Love} Love

Here is another card I did making a Circle Slit Border. It's a little too busy, but I wanted to try this technique using the new Specialty Designer Series Paper #117153 in the Occasions Mini as well as the I {Love} Love Jumbo Wheel #117084. I just love that new DSP as it is so shimmery. The verse "follow your heart it knows the way" comes from the Whimsical Words SAB set. I earned this set free for spending $50 in merchandise. There are other meaningful greets for any event with this set. I also ordered the clear mount set to use with my clear mount blocks. They take up less space, easy to clean and they are much cheaper too. Of course, you can still order the wood block stamp set too.

I {Heart} Hearts

This is a card technique I learned to make from demo Karen Phillips . She calls it a circle slit border. They are fun to make!

The Circle Slit Border is made by cutting a piece of cardstock (or Designer Series Paper)at 5 1/2" x 1 1/2". Use a pencil to mark each end at 1/2", then measure 3/4" with a pencil until you get to the other end that is 1/2". Put the Slit Punch all the way in to where the pencil marks are and punch at each pencil mark. Then erase your pencil marks. To place on a card, cut 1/2" off the front side of your 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" standard size card. Use snail adhesive to attach your Circle Slit Border to the right side of your card.

Valentine to my Friend

This is a card I created for a swap last month using the Finial Textured Impressions Embossing folder using Whisper White cardstock. I used the new I {Heart} Hearts set from the Occasions Mini, the new Embosslits Die Heart of Hearts and the Scallop Trim Corner and Border punches. I love using the Razzleberry and Bermuda Bay In Colors together. I used the In-Color markers on the All Holidays stamp set "My dear Kind & wonderful Friend". The Bermuda Bay cardstock was measured at 3 13/16" square using the Scallop Trim Corner punch first on each corner. Then I aligned the Scallop Trim Border punch. I also used the Rich Razzleberry Polka Dot Grosgrain Ribbon.
