Inspired Thoughts - Sympathy

This is a sympathy card that I made today.  It seems I've needed a few sympathy cards lately.  The new set Inspired Thoughts has perfect sentiments for this type of card.  The tree die is not the one that comes with the bundle Inspired Thoughts Bundle, but instead, I used the single tree from the Beautiful Trees Die that comes with the Beauty of Friendship Bundle using Basic White cardstock.  I'll enjoy making lots of cards with both of these bundles.  Here is how I made my card:

Stamp Set:  Inspired Thoughts

Cardstock:  Night of Navy, Basic White, Watercolor Paper

Ink:  Night of Navy Refill, Versamark Ink Pad, White Embossing Powder

Other:  Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine, Beautiful Tree Dies, Inspired Canopy Dies, Spritzer, Water Painters, Clear Block, Chalk Marker, Stampin’ Seal, Heat Tool, and Dimensionals

1.     The base of the card is Night of Navy cardstock cut at 4-1/4” x 11” and scored at 5-1/2” in the middle.

2.    The second layer is Basic White cardstock cut at 4” x 5-1/4” and added to the base of the card with an Adhesive.

3.    Cut the Watercolor Paper larger than you will use so that you can cut it to size.

4.    Place on plastic and mist Watercolor Paper with water in a Spritzer.

5.    Add refill Night of Navy to a Clear Block.  Pick it up with a Water Painter that is also filled with water.  Drop on the wet Watercolor Paper and then let dry.

6.    Die-cut a Basic White tree from the Beautiful Tree Dies in the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine.  Die-cut a Night of Navy “ground” with the die from Inspired Canopy Dies.  Glue down the Basic White tree slightly to the right and then the Night of Navy ground over it at the bottom.

7.    Ink up the sentiment “With Heartfelt Sympathy” with Versamark ink and sprinkle White Embossing Powder over it and heat set with the Heat Tool.

8.    Add stars by adding with the Chalk Marker.  Trim Watercolor Paper to 3-1/2” x 4-5/8”.

9.    Add to the front of the card with Dimensionals.
