Waves of Inspiration - Happy Birthday

This is another card that I made over the weekend with my new Waves of the Ocean Collection.  It is going to be a popular early release starting March 1 for customers.  The stamp set and the dies will be available in the annual catalog in May, but not the Waves of Ocean DSP, Blue Foil, or Rhinestone Waves Basic Jewels.  Those three items will be while supplies last so why not get the whole collection March 1 for $79.25 #161797

 Stamp Set:  Waves of Inspiration

Cardstock:  Thick Basic White, Misty Moonlight, Basic White, Coastal Cabana Foil

Ink:  Coast Cabana, Balmy Blue, Tuxedo Black Memento

Stampin’ Blends:  Smoky Slate, Pumpkin Pie, Soft Suede, Medium Natural Tones

Other:  Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine, Waves Dies, Stamparatus, Adhesive Sheets, Paper Trimmer, Paper Snips, Blending Brushes, Rhinestone Waves Basic Jewels, Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Dimensionals

1.     The base of the card is Thick Basic White cardstock cut at 4-1/4” x 11” and scored at 5-1/2” in the middle.

2.    The second layer is Misty Moonlight cardstock cut at 4” x 5-1/4” and adhered to the front with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

3.    The third layer is Basic White and inserted into the Stamparatus and the wave stamp is inked up with Balmy Blue.

4.    The sky is Balmy Blue using a Blending Brush.

5.    Use Adhesive Sheet on the back of the Coastal Cabana Foil Sheet and die cut it out with the Waves Dies.  Peel off the backing and adhere to the Balmy Blue wave.  Trim off with Paper Snips if too long.

6.    Ink up the pelican on the pier-post stamp with Tuxedo Black Memento ink and color the bird with Smoky Slate and Pumpkin pie.  The pier-post is Soft Suede and the Medium Natural Tones #500.  Adhere with Dimensionals on the right side of the wave.

7.    Ink up “Happy Birthday” on Basic White card stock and die-cut with the label die from the Waves Dies.  Insert a ¼” x 3-1/4” strip of Misty Moonlight cardstock.

8.    Die-cut the two clouds with their layers and glue them together with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Add Dimensionals and adhere to the top of the sky.

9.    Add the label with Dimensionals.

10.  Add a silver foil bird in the sky.
