Hello Spring

This is a card I made for a monthly swap.  The Theme was "Spring", so I used the sentiment from Excellent Eggs.  I also used the butterflies from the Paper Butterfly Accents as well as the Purple Fine Shimmer Gems.  The Designer Series Paper is the Perennial Lavender and I used Shaded Spruce and Highland Heather cardstock.

Here are my instructions for making this card:

Stamp Set:  Excellent Eggs, Painted Lavender

Cardstock:  Thick Basic White, Shaded Spruce, Highland Heather, Perennial Lavender DSP. Paper Butterfly Accents

Ink:  Gorgeous Grape

Other:  Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine, Basic Borders Dies, Purple Fine Shimmer Gems, Multipurpose Liquid Glue

1.      The base of the card is Thick Basic White cardstock cut at 4-1/4” x 11” and scored at 5-1/2” in the middle.

2.     The second layer is Shaded Spruce cardstock cut at 4” x 5-1/4” and adhered to the base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

3.     The third layer is Perennial Lavender DSP cut at 3” x 5-1/8”.

4.     The fourth layer is Highland Heather cardstock cut at 2-1/4” x 5-1/8” and uses the Basic Borders Dies (curved die) to die-cut the edge in the Stampin’ Cut and Machine.  Adhere to the right side of the card with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

5.     Ink up the “Hello Spring” greeting from Excellent Eggs stamp set with Gorgeous Grape ink towards the bottom.

6.     Adhere the body of a medium butterfly to a larger butterfly with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  (Cut off the larger butterflies' antennas so that you only see one set).

7.     Glue the body to the card.  Fluff the wings.

8.     Add three Purple Fine Shimmer Gems for the body.  Add one above and one below the butterfly.

9.     For the inside:  Ink up the leaves with Shaded Spruce and stamp three times without re-inking.  Add the little butterfly stamp above the leaves with Gorgeous Grape ink.
