Garden Meadow - Fun Fold Card

This is a card we did at my workshop on Sunday.  I was inspired by a card that Susan Smith did using this set.  My customers loved it.  There is a lot of die-cutting on the inside, but I used Glue Dots to adhere the flowers.

Stamp Set:  Garden Meadow

Cardstock:  Thick Basic White, Balmy Blue, Basic White, 6” x 6” Meandering Meadows DSP

Ink:  Blueberry Bushel, Tuxedo Black Memento

Stampin’ Blends:  Mossy Meadow, Melon Mambo, Gray Granite

Other:  Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine, Paper Trimmer, Bone Folder, Exposed Brick 3D Embossing Folder, Garden Meadow Dies, Nested Shapes Dies, Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Mini Glue Dots

1.     The base of the card is Thick Basic White cardstock cut at 4-1/4” x 11” and scored at 5-1/2” and 2-3/4”.  Burnish the score lines with the Bone Folder.  Turn the 2-3/4” back towards the front top of the Thick Basic White card.

2.    Cut the DSP at 4-1/4” x 5-1/2”.  Cut it in half with the Paper Trimmer at 2-3/4”.  With Multipurpose Liquid Glue, glue the top DSP to the top of the card that folds back.  Glue the bottom half to the bottom of the Thick Basic White card.

3.    Cut Balmy Blue cardstock at 4-1/4” x 5-1/2” which is the same width and length as the card front.  Take the arch die from the Garden Meadow Dies and center it on the Balmy Blue cardstock and run it through the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine.  Remove the leftover arch and set aside.  Now, insert leftover Balmy Blue front in the Exposed Brick 3D EF and run it through the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine.  Adhere Multipurpose Glue at the very top and the sides only so that the bottom of the Balmy Blue cardstock hangs down.  You will see your Meandering Meadows scenery through the archway when closed.

4.    Ink up the word “hello” with Blueberry Bushel ink. Die-cut with the Nested Shapes Banner and adhere to the top left corner of the Balmy Blue front.

5.    Ink up four flower stamps and one watering can with Tuxedo Black Memento ink.

6.    Die-cut them out and color with the Stampin’ Blends.  Adhere the one flower on the bottom right of the Balmy Blue front.  Add the others inside with Glue Dots just above the bottom scenery.  Adhere the watering can inside and make it appear as though watering the front flower but be sure it is adhered just below the top scenery.  Ink up the sentiment “Every day is a Fresh Start” with Tuxedo Black Memento on the inside towards the left.

7.  I didn't put it in the supply list, but I added the Adhesive Backed Dragonflies & Birds #162743 for $8.50 which also an Online Exclusive.
