Happy Birthday Chick

Hey Chick!  Have you seen the new Hey Chick and Happy Birthday Bundles?  They will be available on February 2 to customers as Bundles, but if you want just the new set (Hey Birthday Chick), it's in the January-June Mini on page 52.
As a demo, I was able to order them this month (January 2021).  If you know someone who has a birthday coming up soon, these sets are great for that.  The Hey Chick set was a previously Sale-a-Bration set in 2017 and it is back to coordinate with the new Hey Birthday Chick Stamp Set.  I love them both and glad I still had my 2017 set.  Here is how I made my card:

Stamp Set:  Happy Birthday, Chick

Cardstock:  Calypso Coral, Night of Navy, Whisper White and Playing with Patterns DSP

Ink:  Memento Black, Night of Navy, Stampin’ Blends:  Pumpkin Pie, Balmy Blue, So Saffron

Other:  Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine, Stitched So Sweetly Dies, Chick Dies, Birthday Chick Dies, Paper Snips, Dimensionals, Stampin’ Seal

1.     The base of the card is the Calypso Coral card stock cut at 5-1/2” x 8-1/2” and scored at 4-1/4” in the middle.

2.    The second layer is Night of Navy card stock cut at 3-1/2” x 4-3/4”.  The third layer is Playing with Patterns DSP cut at 3-1/4” x 4-1/2” and matted onto the Night of Navy layer with Adhesive

3.    The Whisper White layer is die cut from the largest rectangle from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies.

4.    Ink up the egg stamp with Memento Black and stamp on a scrap of Whisper White cardstock and stamp 6 times.  Ink up the chick with Memento Black ink and stamp once.  Color in with the Stampin’ Blend.

5.    Die cut the eggs and chick with the Chick Dies and Birthday Chick Dies.

6.    Use a Dimensional behind each one and adhere to the Stitched So Sweetly Whisper White rectangle as shown.

7.    Ink up the sentiment “Let’s Celebrate You” with Night of Navy ink on Calypso Coral card stock.  Trim it out with the Paper Snips and attach with Dimensionals.

8.    Attach to the Playing with Patterns DSP with Adhesive.

Snow Wonder

I'm so glad that the Feels Like Frost Designer Series Paper returned from last's year Holiday catalog.
It such a beautiful paper with real wintery scenery.  The snowman in the new Snow Wonder set really adds to this card. I've colored him in Stampin' Blends and then die cut him out with the Snow Time Dies.  Along the edge where it was white, I added Balmy Blue to make him stand out even more.  I can't wait to make some more cards with this gorgeous set.

Dandelion Wishes

Good Morning, Stampers!  Yesterday, I spent about 6 hours power-washing the vinyl fence out front.  My husband passed away almost 7 years ago and he had this fence installed while he was still sick, but I don't think he realized it is not maintenance free.  I was sure wishing I had someone to help me get it all done.  Luckily, my neighbor guy came out and did the side yard fence for me.  So, my wish did come true.  So, even though, I don't have any dandelions in my yard (lots of clover), I bought this stamp set several months ago and decided it was time to make a card with it because of the sentiment,  and was inspired by Create with Christy, who is a fellow demonstrator, but noticed she is from Indiana too.

Here are the instructions on how I made my card with the supplies to follow:
1.     The base of the card is Night of Navy Cardstock cut at 5-1/2” x 8-1/2” and scored at 4-1/4” in the middle.
2.    The second layer is Whisper White cardstock cut at 4” x 5-1/4” and inserted into the Ornate Floral Embossing Folder and run through the Big Shot and adhered with Multipurpose Glue to the base card.
3.    The DSP is cut at 1-1/2” x 4” and adhered to the bottom with Multipurpose Glue.
4.    The Whisper White cardstock layer for the stamped image is cut at 2-3/4” x 3-1/4” and the Night of Navy cardstock it is layered onto is 3” x 3-1/2”.  Put Dimensionals on the back to adhere to the front of the card.  Stamp the image with Night of Navy Ink on the Whisper White cardstock.  Use the Sponge Dauber in the center of each dandelion.  I sponged the edges too.
5.    The sentiment “I Made a Wish and You Came True” is inked with Night of Navy on a strip of ¾” wide of Whisper White cardstock.  I inserted it into the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch and adhered it with Dimensionals at the bottom of the card.

By the Dock - New Catalog Case

There are so many beautiful sample cards in the new catalog that inspire me.  I don't usually case cards from the catalog, but there are just so many cards in there that inspire me.  I've had this set and just haven't had time to play with it.  Hope to case a few more cards in the catalog.
