By the Dock - New Catalog Case

There are so many beautiful sample cards in the new catalog that inspire me.  I don't usually case cards from the catalog, but there are just so many cards in there that inspire me.  I've had this set and just haven't had time to play with it.  Hope to case a few more cards in the catalog.

Swirly Scribbles Snowman

Just couldn't resist making another card using the Swirly Scribbles Thinlets to make a snowman.  Seongsook Duncan had posted her version of her snowman on Facebook, so I was so inspired, I wanted to make one of my own.  The base of my card is the Thick Whisper White, and the second layer is Real Red card stock.  The third layer is Night of Navy and I stamped the snowflakes with Whisper White Craft ink.  I cut out three sizes of the Swirly Scribbles from Whisper White card stock.  I used the Snow Place stamp set for the hat, scarf, twigs, buttons and the Snow Friends Framelits.  Then also cut out a carrot nose.  Such a fun card to make!

Snow Place

This is one of the cards we made at my workshop on Sunday after we swapped our Christmas cards.  I've always loved snowmen, so couldn't resist buying the Snow Place set with the coordinating Snow Friends Framelits Dies in the 2015 Holiday catalog.  I received a similar card from my demo friend Dianne Teslak, but she had used the the Season of Cheer DSP snowflakes which I had already used up.  Instead I stamped my snowflakes on Night of Navy with the Whisper White craft ink and let it dry.  I also added a little Real Red  Pompom from the Trim in the Holiday Catalog for the little snowman.  The base of the card is Whisper White and layered with Real Red cardstock.  The snow was sponged with Soft Sky. I cut a small strip of Real Red for the trim on the large snowman.  For my workshop I changed the arms to Soft Suede but my sample shows Chocolate Chip which doesn't show up as well.  I also made a template to show what dies to use.

Thanks Dianne for your swap.  I really liked it.

Square Pillow Box

This was a project so much fun to make but it was not my original idea.  I found a video on how to make this box on Splitcoaststampers by JanB.  The base is Marina Mist using the Woodland TIEF and using a Dauber and Craft White ink.  It also uses a 2-Way Glue Pen and Dazzling Diamonds.  The little snowman on the NoteTag is from Sparkling Seasons colored in with Marina Mist, Soft Sky and Pumpkin Pie markers adding more Dazzling Diamonds which makes a nice little gift box for someone at Christmas time.  Wouldn't you love to receive this gift?

Wonderous Wreath with Bow Punch

Thought I'd make a bow from the new Bow Builder Punch (Occasions 2015) to put with my Wonderous Wreath card.  The little bow will be so cute on small packages.  My colors are Cherry Cobbler, Garden Green, Wild Wasabi and Whisper White.  I used the largest Banner Framelit and Wonderous Wreath Framelit Dies.  I used the Stylist Stripes Embossing Folder.  I stamped the verse with Craft White..
