Be Merry Snowflake Thinlet

Be Merry Snowflake Thinlet

I made this card this morning using the Snowflake Thinlet.  It is a Cherry Cobbler card at 4 1/4" x 11 and folded in half at 5 1/2" to make the card.  I cut out a 5 1/4" x 4" Whisper White cardstock to layer on the front of the card.  Then I cut more Cherry Cobbler at 3 3/4" x 5" and inserted into the Lucky Stars Embossing Folder and ran it through the Big Shot.  I cut out the big snowflake from the Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper, the next star from Cherry Cobbler and the little star from the Silver Foil Sheet and attached a Rhinestone in the center.  The "Be Merry" phrase is from the stamp set Holiday Invitation which I stamped with Silver Metallic Ink and thinking next time, I might emboss it with silver, but still an elegant card.  Behind it is the more of the Silver Foil sheet.

Santa Stache Money Holder

Ho! Ho! Ho! Doesn't this money card holder look adorable?  A demo friend Anita whom I swap with each month made a similar money-card holder using the Bearing Gifts stamp set, but I made mine using the Santa Stache stamp set.  Here are my instructions:

Stamp Set:  Santa Stache, Good Greetings

Cardstock:  Cherry Cobbler, Basic Black, Whisper White

Ink:  Memento Black Ink

Other:  Big Shot, Mustache Framelit, Word Bubbles Framelits, 1” Circle Punch, Cherry Cobbler and Skin Tone Blendabilities, Dimensionals, Tiny Triangles Embossing Powder,  Sticky Strip, Bone Folder, Adhesive, Paper Snips

1.     Cherry Cobbler cardstock is cut 4¼” x 11” and scored at 5½” and 8¼”.

2.    Use a Bone Folder to crease the scored marks.  Fold card in half at the 5½” mark.  Then fold the other score line to the left of the card.

3.    With the 1” Circle Punch, do a half punch in the middle of the card.  This will be where the gift card can be pulled out of the pocket.  Use Sticky Strip around the edges leaving room for a gift card to be inserted by cutting Sticky Strip in half lengthwise.

4.    The Basic Black card stock for the left front of the card is 2½” x 4”.  Insert it into the Tiny Triangles Embossing Folder and run it through the Big Shot on Tab 1.  Adhere to the front using Adhesive.

5.    Stamp Santa on Whisper White cardstock using Memento Black ink.  Color his hat with the Cherry Cobbler Blendabilities and his face with the Skin Tone Blendabilities.  Use the Paper Snips to trim out Santa and adhere him to the 2¾” x 3” Basic Black cardstock.  Layer onto Cherry Cobbler cardstock with Adhesive and attach to center of card.

6.    Stamp Santa’s mustache (part of it will be Santa, of course) on Whisper White and cut it out with the Mustache Framelit and attach over Santa’s first mustache with Dimensionals.

7.    Stamp Ho! Ho! Ho! From Good Greetings (Hostess set) with black ink and cut it out with the Word Bubble Framelit and adhere to the card with Dimensionals.

Ornamental Pine with Filigree

This is a card I had my customers make at a recent workshop.  I love these colors together as well as this stamp set.  Here are my instructions to make this card:

Ornamental Pine

Stamp Set:  Ornamental Pine

Cardstock:  Island Indigo, Soft Sky

Ink:  Island Indigo, Chocolate Chip marker

Other:  Big Shot, Blocks C, F , Filigree Frame Embossing Folder, 3/8” Lost Lagoon Satin Ribbon (about 7 inches), Fork, Rhinestone Jewel, 1¼” Circle Punch, Glue Dots, Snail Adhesive or Multipurpose Glue, Dimensionals, Paper Piercer,

1.     Island Indigo cardstock is cut at 8½” x 5½” and scored in the middle at 4¼” for the base card.

2.    Insert 5¼” x 4” Soft Sky cardstock into Filigree Frame and run it through the Big Shot.  Adhere to front of card with adhesive.

3.    Ink up ornament with Island Indigo ink and stamp on the lower right side of the 2½” x 3-13/16”Soft Sky cardstock as shown in picture above.  Ink it again in Island Indigo ink and stamp on scrap of Soft Sky cardstock. Punch it out with the 1¼” Circle Punch Layer over first stamped ornament with Dimensional (or layer it after you stamp your pine branch)

4.    Ink up pine branch with Island Indigo ink and the Chocolate Chip marker and stamp it above your ornament.

5.    Layer stamped image onto the 2¾ x 4”Island Indigo cardstock with adhesive.

6.    Use the 7” Lost Lagoon ribbon to create a bow with the fork.  Use a Glue Dot to adhere to the top of your ornament.  Attach a Rhinestone in the center of your ornament using the Paper Piercer to grab it.

7.    Stamp “Christmas Wishes” on the inside of your card with Island Indigo ink or other verse that came with the stamp set.

Baby, It's Cold Outside!

I found this cute snowman paper in my Santa & Co. Designer Series Paper from the 2014  Holiday Catalog.  I love snowmen, and wanted to create a card using it.  The verse "Baby, it's cold outside" comes from the Photopolymer stamp set Project Life Holiday Cheer from the Holiday Catalog.  I used the 1" Circle Punch and the 1-1/4" Scallop Circle Punch, Real Red Cardstock to create my card.

Seasonally Scattered with Trim the Tree DSP

This is another card I made using the Seasonally Scattered stamp set.  The colors are Cherry Cobbler and I also used the Trim the Tree DSP stack #135824 for $6.95.  I also used the Oval Framelits #129831 for $26.95.  It was a very simple card but could also add some embellishments.

Seasonally Scattered with Filigree Embossing Folder

This is a card I stamped using the Seasonally Scattered stamp set.  The base of the card is Garden Green cardstock.  The stamp "Merry" is stamped with Cherry Cobbler ink on Whisper White cardstock.  I cleaned the stamp really well, and then used a Green Garden marker to ink it partially and stamp over the first image.  I put the Cherry Cobbler cardstock in the Filigree Embossing Folder.
Then I layered it over the Whisper White cardstock and attached to my card.

Gentle Peace with Lucky Stars

Had to stamp another card using this set, and I still want to keep stamping more.  This time, I stamped it on Whisper White cardstock with the Versamark ink pad and embossed it with Silver Embossing Powder.  I used Blendabilities to color it in.  The embossing folder is called Lucky Stars.
The cardstocks I used were Night of Navy, Brushed Silver, and Marina Mist.

Gentle Peace

This is a Photopolymer stamp set that Stampin' Up! has for sale right now that is not in any of their current catalogs.  It is a new arrival called Gentle Peace #139523 for $15.95and I thought it would be perfect to create a stained-glass technique.  I stamped it with Memento ink on Whisper White cardstock and colored it in with the Blendabilities.  Then I cut it out and covered with the Versamark ink pad and pour Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder and heated it with the Heat Tool.  Then I attached to Coastal Cabana Tiny Triangles Embossing Folder with Dimensionals.  The picture doesn't do this card justice.

Seasonally Scattered

This is an interlocking card that I made over the weekend using the Seasonally Scattered stamp set in the Holiday Catalog.  I also used the All is Calm DSP, Oval Framelits, Frosted Sequins.  First I stamped it with Versamark and then Lost Lagoon.  Then I poured Clear Embossing Powder over it and heat set with a Heat Tool

Ornamental Pine

Had some time to stamp a few cards this weekend.  This set is from the Holiday Catalog called Ornamental Pine and I've made a few cards with this stamp set.  The colors are Soft Sky and Lost Lagoon.  I also used some Frosted Sequins, Silver Embossing Powder and 3/8" Stitched Satin Lost Lagoon Ribbon.

Yuletide Village with Frosted Forest trees in an arch

This is the card that I used for my monthly November swap.  The theme was "Christmas Card" but although there is no message on the...
