Best Catch and Crackle Paint

This card was cased from the very talented Julie Gilson, but I changed the Designer Series Paper color.  So glad this stamp set (Best Catch) is being carried over to the new annual catalog. The base of the card is Mint Macaron.  Then on a 3-3/4" x 5" piece of Shimmer White cardstock, I used Versamark ink and used Silver Embossing Powder as well as on the fish.  I heat embossed both and die cut the fish.
Here are more of my written instructions on how I made this card:

Stamp Set:  Best Catch, Crackle Paint (Page 44 in Occasions)

Cardstock:  Mint Macaron, Shimmery White, Silver Foil, Bright’s DSP

Ink:  Versamark, Silver Embossing Powder, Mint Macaron, Coastal Cabana and Night of Navy

Other:  Big Shot, Best Catch of the Day Thinlets, Heat Tool, Layering Circles Framelits, Stitched Shapes (Circle) Framelit Dies, Silver Metallic Thread, Aqua Painter, Snail Adhesive, Dimensionals, Faceted Dots

1.     The base of the card is Mint Macaron Cardstock cut at 5-1/2” x 8-1/2” and scored at 4-1/4” in the middle.

2.    The second layer is Shimmery White cardstock cut at 3-3/4” x 5”.  Use the Embossing Buddy on the Shimmery White cardstock. Ink up the Crackle Paint Background stamp with Versamark Ink and sprinkle it with the Silver Embossing Powder.  Heat set it with the Heat Tool.  Ink up the fish stamp the same way and die cut with the Best Catch of the Day Thinlets.

3.    Fill the Aqua Painter with water.  Now, you will need to watercolor the embossed Shimmery White cardstock that has been embossed with Silver Embossing Powder.   Use blocks to pick up the color from the ink pads and then use them as your palette to pick up the colors with the Aqua Painter.  Do the same process with the fish.  Let dry completely!  When dry, attach the fish with Dimensionals to a Whisper White die cut stitched circle layered onto a Mint Macaron Circle.  Set aside for now.

4.    The Silver Foil is cut at 2-3/4” x 2-3/4” and adhered to the front of the embossed Shimmery White cardstock that is now dry.

5.    Cut a piece of Mint Macaron cardstock at 2-5/8” x 2-5/8” and layer 2-1/2” x 2-1/2” of the DSP. Optional: Wrap the Silver Thread around your hand 3 or 4 times and adhere to the back of layers with Snail Adhesive.  Attach Dimensionals to adhere over the Silver Foil.

6.   Add a strip of DSP cut at ¾” x 3-3/4”.  Optional:  Add Faceted Dots on either side using the Paper Piercing Tool.

7.    Add the fish layers with Dimensionals to the center of the card.

Painted Petals- Amazing

This is a card I created using the Painted Petals stamp set.  I've been having fun using this set creating some flower cards that remind me of Spring which is just around the corner.  The colors I used were Pear Pizzazz and Coastal Cabana.  The background is from the Painted Blooms DSP.  The ribbon is from the Best Year Ever Accessory Pack. from the Sale-a-Bration catalog.

Something for Baby

This month, we had a choice to make a baby card or kid's birthday for our monthly swap.  I chose to make a baby card since my daughter is expecting twins soon.  The base of my card is Coastal Cabana and the stamp set is called Something for Baby which can be purchased as a Bundle with the Baby's First Framelit Dies to save 15%.  The background Designer Series Paper is from the SAB catalog called Best Year Ever which can be earned FREE with a $50 order.  I colored the Rhinestones with Coastal Cabana Blendabilities which can also be earned FREE.

Big Day with Bow and Lace

This is similar to a card I saw on Pinterest by Chiaki that was also cased so I don't know who created the original card.  I wanted to make a card using the Big Day stamp set from the Sale-a-Bration catalog that I earned FREE by spending $50 in Stampin' Up! product.  I wanted to add a bow to my card using the new Bow Punch that makes these adorable little bows.  I love the color Coastal Cabana and the new Best Year Ever DSP from the Sale-a-Bration catalog had this beautiful paper inside to match my cardstock.  I added a touch of Coastal Cabana Blendability to make the color pop!  I used the Circle Framelits and the Oval Punch and Scallop Oval Punch to make this fabulous birthday card.

Lotus Flower Valentine

I just can't enough of this stamp set Lotus Flower and Irresistably Yours Specialty Designer Paper from the 2015 Sale-a-Bration catalog.  This time I used the striped design using the Brayer again but in Coastal Cabana ink, but then I put the paper in the  Happy Hearts Embossing Folder and ran it through the Big Shot before placing it to the front of the card.  I love the result!  To make the flower, I used Coastal Cabana and Island Indigo ink and used the Framelit Banners.

Gentle Peace

This is a Photopolymer stamp set that Stampin' Up! has for sale right now that is not in any of their current catalogs.  It is a new arrival called Gentle Peace #139523 for $15.95and I thought it would be perfect to create a stained-glass technique.  I stamped it with Memento ink on Whisper White cardstock and colored it in with the Blendabilities.  Then I cut it out and covered with the Versamark ink pad and pour Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder and heated it with the Heat Tool.  Then I attached to Coastal Cabana Tiny Triangles Embossing Folder with Dimensionals.  The picture doesn't do this card justice.

Flower Shop and Perfect Pennants

The base of this card is Whisper White.  I added a layer of Pistachio Pudding, but ran it through the Big Shot with the Decorative Dots Embossing Folder.  Then I used the Ovals Collection to make an oval in the center and attached to the base of my card.  I stamped "Life doesn't have to be perfect to be wonderful" inside the oval.  I stamped three Flower Shop flowers with Memento Ink Pad and colored them in with the medium and dark Coastal Cabana Blendabilities and attached them with Dimensionals.  I then added the Coastal Cabana Thick Baker's Twine with a Glue Dot.

Too Kind Coastal Cabana

This is the same design of Too Kind, but using different colors.  I used Island Indigo and the new In-Color Coastal Cabana together.  I really like these two colors together.
