Christmas Sweaters

We had a few snowflakes yesterday morning!  Too early for snow, but at least it did not accumulate. Then, we had a hard frost last night.  Time to start making snowflake cards and get out those long-sleeve tops and start cleaning out my closets. Here are the directions to my card:

1.     The base of the card is Night of Navy cardstock cut at 4-1/4” x 11” and scored at 5-1/2” in the middle.
2.    The second layer is Marina Mist cardstock cut at 4” x 5-1/4” and adhered to the front of the card with adhesive.
3.    The third layer is Whisper White cardstock cut at 3-3/4” x 5” and randomly stamped with the snowflakes from Colorful Seasons with Night of Navy ink, Marina Mist, and Soft Sky inks.
4.    The Foil Snowflakes is inked up on the white side with Marina Mist ink pad.  Let dry before attaching to the Whisper White snowflakes layer.
5.    Die cut a scalloped Whisper White circle with the Layering Circles Framelits in the Big Shot.
6.    Ink up the sweater from Christmas Sweaters with the Memento Black ink.  Color in with Marina Mist and Soft Sky markers.
7.    Take the Fine Tip Glue Pen or Multipurpose Glue to add glue to the snowflake on the front of the sweater.  Add Dazzling Diamonds Glitter.  Let Dry!
8.    Attach Mini Tinsel Trim to the back of the sweater and attach Dimensionals to the back to adhere to the Whisper White Scalloped Circle.
9.    Then add more Dimensionals to the back of the Whisper White scalloped circle.  Add it to the Marina Mist Foil Snowflake on the front.

Swan Lake

This card was made with the set Swan Lake which I think is absolutely a beautiful set. The technique is called mirror image and it is a little different than the usual way I've done this technique in the past because both swans were cut out.  This technique was inspired by Michelle Zindorf's tutorial that I purchased.  The base of my card is Whisper White cut at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" but then I used Island Indigo cardstock and the Seaside TIEF cut at 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" and ran it through the Big Shot before adhering to the front of my card base.  The other colors include Soft Sky, Tempting Turquoise, and markers for shading.

Here For You - Skunk

My daughter texted me the other night that her good friend had an accident over the weekend when he was watching his neighbors cut down a tree.  He just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.  The tree came his way when it fell and he ran away but tripped and the tree landed on his leg, unfortunately.  He has had three surgeries this week.  I wanted to make him a card and so I cased this one from Marcy Denning because I thought it was a perfect card to send him.   The sentiments are from the stamp set "Here for You" and I used three of them; one on the front and two for the inside.  The skunk was made with the Fox Builder Punch and Basic Black and Whisper White cardstock and Dimensionals.  The background is the Woodland TIEF which I used the brayer with Soft Sky ink before running it through the Big Shot.  The base of my card is Whisper White and a layer of Cucumber Crush.  The sun was made from the Swirly Scribbles and the 1-1/2" Circle Punch and Daffodil Delight cardstock.
