Butterfly Basics

This card was inspired by a card that Cindy Elam posted on Pinterest, only I used different colors.
The stamp set is from Butterfly Basics. The butterfly is from the Butterflies Thinlet Dies which can be purchased as a Bundle from the Occasions Catalog 2015.  The Designer Series Paper is called Painted Blooms from the Occasions catalog.  The main card base is Rose Red and so is the ink and butterfly.  We did this card at my recent stamp camp too.

Big Day

Here is another card we made at my stamp camp using Big Day (2015 SAB) and the colors I used were Blackberry Bliss and Crushed Curry.  I used the Banner Framelits and the Decorative Dots Embossing Folder.  The inside is stamped on Crushed with that says....and perhaps a little ice cream!  Happy Birthday  The ribbon is also 3/8" Stitched Blackberry Bliss.

Lotus Blossom French Fry Boxes

Yesterday at my stamp camp, we made these adorable little French fry boxes inspired by a pin I saw on Pinterest by Judy DiScipio.  I gave the guests a choice as to "birthday" or "thank you" and today I made one for Valentine's Day.  The Frency fry box is Cherry Cobbler.  Other colors used were Real Red and Melon Mambo.  We also used the Oval Framelits and the Decorative Label Punch using the Lotus Blossom SAB set.  We filled them with candy kisses.

Sale-A-Bration Lotus Blossom Stamp Set

Butterfly Basics

This is a card that I made after being inspired by a few cards I saw posted on Pinterest.  Christine Miller posted one.  It was her butterfly that caught my attention. The other card on Pinterest was by Kay Kalthoff and I liked her layout of her card.   I used the Irresistibly Yours Specialty DSP to cut out my Butterfly Thinlet.  Then with a sponge, I inked it up with Old Olive and Island Indigo and then wiped off the excess.  This set is called Butterfly Basics from the Occasions Catalog and the Butterflies Thinlet can be purchased as a Bundle on page 26.  Besides using the DSP for the background, the bottom part is the Spring Flowers Embossing Folder on page 19 of the Occasions catalog.  The ribbon is the Island Indigo 3/4" Chevron from the annual catalog.

Painted Blooms DSP and Butterfies Thinlets

Today I bought a 12" x 12" white frame at my nearby craft store and then came home and inserted this beautiful Painted Blooms Designer Series Paper from Stampin' Up!.  I cut out two Butterflies from the Butterfly Thinlets from Rose Red and Blackberry Bliss and another small Rose Red butterfly and attached it to the outside glass with Glue Dots.  It is now hanging in my living room making me think of Spring.  Love it!

Lotus Flower Valentine

I just can't enough of this stamp set Lotus Flower and Irresistably Yours Specialty Designer Paper from the 2015 Sale-a-Bration catalog.  This time I used the striped design using the Brayer again but in Coastal Cabana ink, but then I put the paper in the  Happy Hearts Embossing Folder and ran it through the Big Shot before placing it to the front of the card.  I love the result!  To make the flower, I used Coastal Cabana and Island Indigo ink and used the Framelit Banners.

Sheltering Tree for Valentines

Today was club workshop and this is one of the cards we made.  It is similar to the card I made before, but used Cherry Cobbler and Early Espresso ink.

Sheltering Tree - Thankful for you

This is a card I did for a recent swap using Garden Green ink as the base of my card.  The sky was done in Soft Sky. The tree leaves were done with Garden Green once and then turned slightly to stamp a lighter green.  I did the same with the grass under the trees.  The trees and bike were done in Early Espresso. The bike frame was done in Cherry Cobbler. I love this Sheltering Tree Stamp set from the 2015 Occasions Catalog.  It has several nice verses to go with it.

Lotus Flower

This is another card I made using the Lotus Flower and the Spring Flowers Embossing Folder.
The colors I used were Elegant Eggplant and Pale Plum.  I also used the Oval Framelits.  This is my favorite stamp set from the SAB catalog.

Sheltering Tree

This is a set I used for the Occasions swap in December, but already thinking Valentine's Day.
The set is called Sheltering Tree and it is a Photopolymer set with 14 stamps.  The colors I used
are Blushing Bride and Early Espresso.  The following items are from the annual catalog.  The embossing folder is called Woodgrain.   The Top Note Bigz Die is what I stamped on.  The ribbon is called Blushing Bride which is the 1-1/4" Striped Grosgrain Ribbon.  The little heart is from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack attached with a partial Dimensional.

Lotus Blossom with Irresistibly Yours

This is a card I did for a Sale-a-Bration swap in December and just love using the new Irresistibly
Specialty Designer Series Paper that I earned FREE for spending $50 of Stampin' Up! product..
This paper has a glossy finish with 6 different designs so I used my Brayer in Tempting Turquoise ink on it and then wiped off the excess with a tissue.  It's like magic!!!  The stamp set is also FREE called Lotus Blossom, that only comes in Photopolymer and is a set of 7.  First, I used Basic Black ink with the first stamp.  Second, I used Tempting Turquoise ink with the second stamp.  Third, I inked up the third stamp with Tempting Turquoise, but stamped off on scrap paper before stamping on my card.  From the annual catalog, I used Banner Framelits.

A Happy Thing

This is another SAB stamp set that can be earned free with the purchase of $50 in Stampin' Up! products. It comes in wood or clear mount and has a set of 4.  This set is great for using Stampin' Up! Blendabilities.  The colors I used are Rich Razzleberry and Daffodil Delight.  The embossing folder is called Spring Flowers from the new Occasions Catalog.  I also used the Ovals Collection Framelit Dies and the Word Window Punch from the annual catalog.  Here are the full directions on how I made this card:

Stamp Set:  A Happy Thing (SAB 2015)

Cardstock:  Rich Razzleberry, Daffodil Delight, Whisper White

Ink:  Memento Black ink

Other:  Oval Framelits, Word Window Punch, Square Punch, Blendabilities, Spring Flowers Embossing Folder, Big Shot, Snail Adhesive

1.     Base of card is Rich Razzleberry and cut at 8½” x 5½” and folded and score in half at 4¼”.

2.    The second layer is Daffodil Delight and cut at 4” x 5¼”.  It is inserted in the Spring Flowers Embossing Folder and run through the Big Shot and then attached to the front of the card with Snail Adhesive.

3.    The bird is stamped on Whisper White cardstock with Memento Black ink and colored in with Blendabilities.

4.    Next, it inserted into the Big Shot using the Magnetic Platform and the Oval Framelits to cut out the bird and a larger oval for the Rich Razzleberry oval frame.

5.    Attach the bird oval to the Rich Razzleberry oval frame with Snail Adhesive.

6.    Attach it to the front of the card with Dimensionals.

7.    Stamp “Our Friendship is a Very Happy Thing” on Whisper White with Black Stazon.

8.    Use the Word Window Punch and extend to fit the whole length of the verse.

9.    Layer it on Rich Razzleberry CS banner and punch ends with square punch.  Attach to the bottom of the card with Dimensionals.

You Plus Me

With Valentine's right around the corner, it's not too late to get started using a new stamp set called You Plus Me which is from the Occasions catalog.  It comes with 10 stamps in either wood mount or clear mount.  The colors are Real Red, Basic Black and Whisper White.  The Embossing Folder is Happy Hearts which is in the Occasions catalog.   Hearts Border punch is from the annual Stampin' Up! catalog as well as the Heart Framelit.  The ink is White Craft and Real Red.

Lotus Blossom with Happy Hearts Embossing Folder

Happy New Year!!!  It is time to share some of my latest cards that I have made from the Occasions and Sale-a-Bration catalogs, both of which begin on January, 6, 2015.  As a demonstrator, I was able to preorder products and of course earn free products from the Sale-a-Bration catalog.
This was a card I made using the colors Pacific Point and Tempting Turquoise.  The Lotus Blossom stamp set is from the Sale-a-Bration catalog and can be earned free if you spend $50 in net sales.  The lotus blossom is a 2-step stamping Photopolymer stamp set, but actually it is more of a 3-step stamping.  Each stamp is numbered so that you know which one to start with.  With this particular stamp set, you start with your darkest ink to your lightest ink.  The Happy Hearts embossing folder and the "Be Mine" from a new set called You Plus Me both are in the Occasions catalog.

Here are the full directions for this card:

Stamp set:  Lotus Blossom (SAB) and You Plus Me (Occasions)

Cardstock:

Ink:  Tempting Turquoise, Pacific Point, Always Artichoke

Other:  Big Shot, Banner Framelits, Happy Heart Embossing Folder, Snail Adhesive, Dimensionals

1.     Base of card is Pacific Point cardstock cut at 8½” x 5½” and scored in the middle at 4¼”.

2.    The second layer is Tempting Turquoise and it is cut at 4” x 5 ¼” and inserted into the Happy Heart Embossing Folder and run through the Big Shot and then adhered to the front of the card with Snail Adhesive.

3.    With the Banner Framelits using the largest framelit, cut out a Pacific Point banner, and the second from the largest, cut out a Whisper White banner.

4.    For the lotus flower, there are 3 stamps to create this beautiful flower and each one as a notch at the very top so that you can align them perfectly and since they are Photopolymer, it makes it even easier to align each stamp.  Start with the darkest ink first which would be Pacific Point.  This will be the inside petals of the flower and the smallest stamp.  Next, ink the second image stamp with Tempting Turquoise and stamp over the first Pacific Point image.

5.    For the third stamp, ink it up with Tempting Turquoise and then stamp off before stamping onto the flower.

6.    Stamp “Be Mine” from the You Plus Me stamp set in Pacific Point right above your flower.  Stem is inked up with Always Artichoke.

7.    Layer banners together with Snail Adhesive and attach to the front of the card with Dimensionals.
