Halloween Card - Time of Giving

This is my Halloween card for my grandchildren this month which is very simple and has hardly any stamping except for the "Boo" in the bottom right corner.  That stamp set came from Time of Giving from the 2021 July-December Mini Catalog.  It is one of my favorite sets and it comes as a bundle.  It uses the adorable  6" x 6" Cute Halloween DSP.  This card was inspired by Jessica Taylor

Time of Giving - Alcohol Inking

Have you tried using the Stampin' Blends on Vellum and then using a brush to add 91% alcohol?  It makes a beautiful design and that is what I did on this card.  I was inspired by a video that Susan Campfield did for this technique.  This is the Time of Giving stamp set and it is a favorite of mine.  This is how I made this card:

Stamp Set:  Time of Giving

Cardstock:  Misty Moonlight, Basic White, Vellum

Ink:  Misty Moonlight

Stampin’ Blends:  Misty Moonlight, Night of Navy, Highland Heather

Other:  Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine, Giving Gifts Dies, Stitched Rectangles, Wintry 3D, Stampin’ Seal, Dimensionals, Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Old Aqua Painter or Paint Brush, 91% Rubbing Alcohol Rhinestones,

1.     The base of the card is Misty Moonlight cardstock cut at 5-1/2” x 8-1/2” and scored at 4-1/4” in the middle.

2.    The second layer is Basic White cardstock cut at 4” x 5-1/4” and inserted into the Wintry 3D Embossing Folder and run through the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine.

3.    Use the snowflake Giving Gifts Dies to die-cut at the top of the Basic White layer.

4.    Use Vellum cardstock cut at 2-1/8” x 3-3/4” to add Stampin’ Blends to randomly color over the vellum not leaving any left uncolored.  Then take the brush and 91% alcohol to the vellum.  Let dry!

5.    Once dry, adhere the vellum to the back of the snowflakes with Stampin’ Seal or Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Adhere to the front of the card base.

6.    Add Rhinestones to the snowflakes.

7.    Ink up “Merry” and stamp on Basic White cardstock.  Die-cut with the Stitched Rectangle Die.  Add Dimensionals to the back and adhere to the front of the card.
