Peaceful Cabin - Stampin' Blends

This is by far my favorite stamp set from the 2021 July-December Mini Catalog.  I've made lots of cards with this set called Peaceful Cabin, and it's not just for Christmas cards.  It makes a great masculine card for a birthday as well as many other holidays.  First, I stamped the cabin image on 4" x 4"  Basic White cardstock with Early Espresso ink and the very top.  I colored it in with the Stampin' Blends. I stamped the pine trees with Mossy Meadow on another 4" x 4" Basic White cardstock at the very top.  I had my club members make this card at our last workshop and they did a great job.  I usually do any die-cutting for them, but not the stamping.  In this case,  they had to stamp before they could die-cut the pine trees, the cabin, and the fence.

Here are my instructions:

Stamp Sets:  Peaceful Cabin

Cardstock:  Thick Basic White, Basic White, and Basic White scraps

Ink:  Mossy Meadow, Early Espresso

Stampin’ Blends:  Ivory, Cinnamon Cider, Soft Suede

Other:  Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine, 3D Wintry Embossing Folder, Cabin Dies, Double Oval Punch, Dimensionals, Mini Dimensionals, Wink of Stella

1.     The base of the card is Thick Basic White cardstock cut at 4-1/4” x 11” and scored at 5-1/2” in the middle.

2.    The second layer is Basic White cardstock cut at 4” x 5-1.4”.  Insert into the Wintry 3D Embossing Folder at the very top.  Use the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine with the Platform and #3 Gray to emboss the cardstock.

3.    Ink up the pine trees with Mossy Meadow ink and stamp it on the 4” x 4” Basic White cardstock at the very top.

4.    Ink up the cabin with Early Espresso ink and stamp it on the other 4” x 4” Basic White cardstock at the very top.

5.    Ink up the fence with Early Espresso on scraps of Basic White.

6.    Die cut them out with the Cabin Dies.

7.    Color them in with the Blends:  First use the Ivory Blend, and then use the Cinnamon Cider Blend for the shades images.  Blend together.  The Soft Suede can also be used for the shading.

8.    Use Dimensionals on the back of the trees and place on the top part of the Wintry 3D Embossed 4” x 5-1/4” Basic White layer.

9.    Add the fox if you wish below where the fence will go.  Color it in with the Blends.

10.  The cabin section goes at the bottom with Dimensionals.

11.   Color the fence with the Blends. Use Mini Dimensionals on the fence to adhere to the card.

12.  Ink up the sentiment “Wishing You the Best” with Mossy Meadow on Basic White scraps.  Punch out with the Double Punch and add Dimensionals to the back and adhere to the lower left side of the card.

13.  Add Wink of Stella to the snow areas.
