Supremely Awesome

We had a pizza party on Sunday with my card club group.  They brought pizza's and I supplied the fun.  We even played Pizza Bingo and prizes were some of my retired stamp sets as well as a few other items for stamping.  The card uses a checkered red napkin cut at 3-3/4" x 3-3/4" for the background because I didn't have enough 6" x 6" Bright's DSP for everyone.  Unfortunately, it took a lot of planning this month and the stamp set is no longer available.  I don't usually demo a card that is retired, but it was completely sold out by the time we had the workshop.  If you are lucky enough to have this set, then maybe you can have fun making this card.  Here are the instructions that I used:

Stamps:  Supremely Awesome

Cardstock:  Poppy Parade, Daffodil Delight, Thick Basic White, Basic White, Red Checkered Napkin or Bright’s 6” x 6” DSP

Ink:  Tuxedo Black Memento, Poppy Parade

Stampin’ Blends:  Smoky Slate, Ivory, Crumb Cake, Daffodil Delight, Real Red or Poppy Parade

Other:  Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine, Exposed Brick Embossing Folder, Scalloped Contours Dies, Classic Matte Dots, Paper Snips, Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Sponge or Blending Brush

1.     The card base is Poppy Parade cardstock cut at 4-1/4” x 11” and scored at 5-1/2” in the middle.

2.    Emboss a 4” x 5-1/4” Thick Basic White cardstock.

3.    Die-cut an approx. 2-1/2” circle with the Stylish Shapes dies toward mid-bottom of embossed layer.

4.    Adhere a 3-3/4” x 3-3/4” checkered napkin (or red dot print from Bright’s DSP) towards mid-bottom of Poppy Parade card front, making sure to line up with embossed layer so none of the edges show.

5.    Adhere embossed white layer with lots of Stampin’ Dimensionals to the card front.

6.    Die-cut a 1-1/4” x 4” piece of Daffodil Delight cardstock and cut with the Scalloped Contours Die.

7.    Stamp “You’re supremely awesome” with Tuxedo Black Memento ink on the scalloped layer.  Adhere at the top with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

8.    Stamp a checker board stamp in Tuxedo Black Memento ink or Poppy Parade on Basic White cardstock.  Cut out a ½” x 4” strip and adhere at the bottom of the embossed layer with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

9.    Stamp pizza guy on Thick Basic White with Tuxedo Black Memento ink.  Color in with the Blends and then manually cut him out, cutting off his pants.  Insert inside the right side of the circle adhering with Dimensionals.

10.  Add (3) Classic Matte Dots to the front.

11.   Inside: Adhere a 4” x 5-1/4” piece of Basic White cardstock inside and add a ¾” x 4” strip of the checkered stamp across the lower bottom with Poppy Parade.  If you have the Bright’s DSP, you can add the Poppy Parade DSP, if you prefer.
