Boardwalk Fun - Spinner Card

This is another spinner card that I made following Debra Harrison's instructions.  I plan to have my card class make this one.  It uses the February Product of the Month (12" x 12" Painted Illusions DSP).  I cut two Ferris wheel dies from Thick Basic White and cut the frame off of one of them.  The other one, I just used the frame.  I used the Shades of Green Hexagons.

Here are my instructions:

Boardwalk Spinner Card

Stamp Set:  Boardwalk Fun

Cardstock:  Lemon Lime Twist, Pretty Peacock, Thick Basic White, Basic White, 12” x 12” Painted Illusions DSP (February Product of the month)

Ink:  Pretty Peacock

Other:  Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine, Boardwalk Fun Dies, Shades of Green Hexagons, Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Glue Dots, Spinners (it’s one piece)

1.     Cut Lemon Lime Twist cardstock to 4-1/4" x 11" and score at 5-1/2" for card base.

2.    Cut Painted Illusions DSP to 4" x 5-1/4" and adhere with adhesive.

3.     Cut the Lost Lagoon DSP at 3-1/4” x 4-1/2 and adhere to the Pretty Peacock cardstock at 3-1/2” x 4-3/4”.

4.    Cut Lemon Lime Twist cardstock at 1-1/4” x 3-1/4” and ink up “Happy Birthday” with Pretty Peacock ink.  Adhere to the bottom of the Peacock and DSP with a little bit showing at the bottom.

5.    Die-cut the Ferris wheel from Thick Basic White cardstock.  You will cut off the frame of one of them, leaving only the Wheel.  You only want the frame and the circle of the other one.  Adhere the frame to the card, with the bottom adhered to the top of the Lemon Lime Twist birthday wishes.

6.    For the Ferris wheel, die-cut the little seats from Lemon Lime Twist and Pretty Peacock cardstock, alternating the colors on the wheel with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

7.    Die-cut two big stars for the center of Lemon Lime Twist and Pretty Peacock.

8.    To attach the wheel to the frame, use a “spinner” with the biggest part on the bottom with a Glue Dot

9.    Add another Glue Dot on top of the smaller sign of the “spinner” to attach the center of the wheel.

10.  Watch it spin!  You may have to shape the Ferris wheel.

11.   Add two Hexagons to the “Happy Birthday” on opposite sides.     On the inside:  Cut two palm trees and a strip of DSP cut at ½” x 4” to add to the Basic White cardstock cut at 4” x 5-1/4”.
