Sheltering Tree Fall Card

Today, my club members made these Fall cards by making a mask with the maple leaf  Leaflet Framelit from cardstock and placing it over Very Vanilla cardstock cut at 3-3/4" x 5".  Here are the complete instructions:

1.     The base of my card is Daffodil Delight cardstock cut at 4-1/4” x 11” and scored at 5-1/2”.

2.    The next layer is Cajun Craze cut at 4” x 5-1/4”.

3.    Attach with adhesive to the base.

4.    Put the maple leaf Leaflet Framelit stencil over 3-3/4" x 5" Very Vanilla layer towards the top to leave room for sentiment at the bottom with Washi tape to hold it in place.

5.    Ink up leaves stamp with Daffodil Delight and stamp inside the leaf stencil.  Clean off stamp.

6.    Next, ink up the same leaves stamp with Tangerine Tango and stamp inside the leaf stencil.  Clean off stamp.

7.    Continue this same pattern with Old Olive and then Cajun Craze cleaning stamp in between inking.

8.    Then take the sponge and ink it up with Daffodil Delight and fill the maple leaf stencil area, but not the stem.

9.    Remove the stencil.  Ink up the tree stamp from Sheltering Tree with Early Espresso and stamp over the stamped leaf.

10.  Ink up the grass stamp with Old Olive ink and stamp at the bottom of the tree.

11.  If you want falling leaves, use markers on each leave on the stamp.

12.  Underneath the grass, ink up “Thinking of You” with Early Espresso ink.

13.  Attach to the front of the card.

  1. Love the idea. I did something similar, but I cut a stencil for each participant from a retired piece of card stock.
