Reindeer Card

This is a beautiful card that I cased from Chlo's Craft Closet HERE.  It was such a beautiful card that she made, I wanted to recreate it for myself.  Her instructions were very easy to follow on her video but it did take a long time to make so I probably won't be sending them out for Christmas cards.  This picture doesn't do this card justice.   I will probably just have it on display for the holidays.  It involves a lot of sponging to create the night scene.  The reindeer are stamped on Kraft card stock with Early Espresso ink.  The stamp is from Santa's Sleigh as well as the Thinlets that go with the bundle.  The reindeer each have bells around their necks from the Holiday Catalog.  They are Mini Jingle Bells and come in silver and red.  Rudolph has a red nose made with Red Glimmer Paper and the 1/16" Handheld punch.  Santa's sleigh is made from Gold Glimmer Paper and Gold Foil.  It is absolutely gorgeous!  I also used the trees from the retired Thoughtful Branches.

Greetings from Santa

Finally had a chance to make a card with my Greetings from Santa stamp set and the Detailed Santa Thinlets Die.  The base of my card is Whisper White.  I put the thinlet on the front of the card and ran it through the Big Shot.  Then I cut Cherry Cobbler cardstock at 4-1/8" x 5-3/8" and put in behind Santa to know where to align my stars.  Then I ran the Cherry Cobbler through the Big Shot to cut out the stars.  I cut a piece of Blushing Bride behind Santa's face and glued it in place.  Then I colored in his eyes with a White Stampin' Chalk Marker and put black dots for his eyes with the Basic Black marker.  I placed the Cherry Cobbler behind the Santa and glued it in place.  I cut out Silver Foil glasses and glued them over the first pair.  I stamped the sentiment at the bottom with Cherry Cobbler.  This card was inspired by Frenchie.

Wrapped in Warmth Red Christmas Sweater

This is my new Christmas sweater creation.  I wouldn't exactly call it an "ugly sweater" this time although, it was my intentions when I started. It is actually kind of cute with those Christmas Trinkets Embellishments for buttons from the Holiday Catalog.  They are attached with Glue Dots.   This sweater is made with Real Red cardstock and the new Cable Knit Dynamic TIEF.  I just cut 1/2" strips and used the Simply Scored Scoring Tool and Stylus to create the red trim.  The Whisper White Pompom Trim is from the Annual Catalog and I attached it with Tear and Tape.  I used Whisper White for the shirt under the sweater by using the Layered Circle Framelit for the neckline.  So, maybe my next creation will be an "ugly sweater" but I don't think this one is, do you?
