Perfectly Plaid

This is a card that I made by combining the stamp set Perfectly Plaid from the Stampin' Up! Annual catalog and the Peaceful Deer sentiment from the Holiday Catalog.  It also uses the Sale-a-bration Designer Series Paper called Peaceful Prints which you can earn FREE with a $50 order until September 30.  It is one of my favorite DSP's to use for Christmas cards.

My Instructions:

Stamp Sets:  Perfectly Plaid, Peaceful Deer (Merry Christmas sentiment)

Cardstock:  Garden Green, Basic Black, Basic White, Wonderful Snowflakes, Peaceful Prints DSP

Ink: Garden Green

Other:  Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine, Stitched Rectangles Dies, Paper Trimmer, Pine Tree Punch, ¼” Black and White Gingham Ribbon, Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Dimensionals, Glue Dot

1.     The base of the card is Garden Green cardstock cut at 5-1/2” x 8-1/2” and scored at 4-1/4” in the middle.

2.    The second layer is Basic Black cardstock cut at 4” x 5-1/4”.  Adhere to the base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

3.    The third layer is Peaceful Prints DSP cut at 3-3/4” x 5” and adhered to the Basic Black layer with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

4.    Add the Wonderful Snowflakes with Multipurpose Liquid Glue on the upper left side of the card front.

5.    The Basic Black cardstock strip is cut at 1” x 5”.

6.    The Peaceful Place DSP is cut at 7/8” x 5” making sure it includes the trees.  Adhere to the Basic Black strip with Multipurpose Liquid Glue and adhere to the front of the card.

7.    Ink up the Perfectly Plaid tree with Garden Green ink on Basic White cardstock.

8.    Punch the tree out with the Pine Tree Punch.  Put Dimensionals on the back and adhere over the strip closer to the snowflake.

9.    Ink up the sentiment “Merry Christmas” from the Peaceful Deer stamp set with Garden Green ink and stamp on Basic White cardstock.

10.  Die-cut it out using the Stitched Rectangles Dies.  Put Dimensionals on the back and adhere to the bottom right of the card.

11.   Tie the ¼” Black and White Ribbon in a knot and attach to the card with a Glue Dot.
