Mountain Air- Bridge Card

This is a bridge card and they are so much fun to make.  I used the Moutain Air Set with Majestic Mountain Dies to create my card which would make a great masculine card or a Christmas card instead of a birthday card.  I followed the YouTube video of Leena Girsa, but I changed the DSP for my card.  If you love mountains and pine trees, this is the set for you. It's on page 95 of the annual catalog.  The dies are on page 172 or you can go to my website to purchase both Mountain Air and Majestic Mountain Dies: www.nancyendwright.stampinup.net

Here are my instructions:

Stamp Set:  Mountain Air, Peaceful Moments

Cardstock:  Garden Green, Basic White, Painted Christmas DSP

Ink:  Garden Green, Smoky Slate

Other:  Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine, Majestic Mountain Dies, Clear B;l I, Label Me Fancy Punch, Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals

1.     The base of the card is 4-1/4” x 8” and scored at 1-1/4”, 2-1/2”, 5-1/2”, and 6-3/4”.

2.    Basic White cardstock is cut at 2-7/8” and 4-1/4”.  This panel will go inside but first ink up the reversible mountain stamp with the solid side with Smoky Slate but stamp off once.  Then clean it off and use the textured side of the mountain inked in Smoky Slate but this time don’t stamp off but stamp below the first and off to the right a little.  Your second mountains should look like they are snow-capped.

3.    Then, take the reversible trees stamp and ink it up with Garden Green ink on the solid side and stamp off first, and then stamp slightly below and on the mountains.  Clean the stamp.  Reverse, and ink up the textured side with Garden Green and stamp a little below the first tree image.  Ink up the birds with Smoky Slate and stamp them up in the sky above the mountains.

4.    The DSP is cut at 1-1/8” x 4-1/8” and adhered to the front panels with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

5.    To make the bridge, cut two Basic White cardstocks at 2-1/2” x 5-1/2”.  First ink up the mountains with Smoky Slate ink.  Then ink up the trees with Garden Green ink.  Make sure the stamp will line up with the die.  Die-cut with the Majestic Mountain Dies. Adhere the trees to the mountains.  Line up at the bottom and lay the card flat.  Adhere Multipurpose Glue on one side.  Then the other side.

6.    Ink up the single and two tree stamps with Garden Green ink on Basic White cardstock.  Die-cut with the Majestic Mount Dies.  Adhere some of the trees to the front of the bridge scene with some in the background with Multipurpose Liquid Glue and the trees in front with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.

7.    Ink up the sentiment “Happy Birthday” from the Peaceful Moments stamp set with Smoky Slate Ink.  Ink up the birds with Smoky Slate and stamp to the right of the sentiment.  Punch out with the Label Me Fancy Punch and adhere to the left with Multipurpose Glue making sure it is straight.
