Easter Basket

Yes, I know Easter isn't until April this year, but as it gets closer, most of the items for this card will probably be hard to get because they will be so popular with Stampin' Up!  If they run out, they may not get their inventory back in stock until after Easter.  So, get them early before you can't!  This is little basket is so cool because the basket die has slits where you can weave in the cardstock or even ribbon.  It would make a cute May basket by adding two sections with a box in between for candy.  The little bunnies, chick, carrot, flowers, and eggs make it even more adorable.  The Specialty Designer Series Paper is so different than any we have had before.  It is hard to describe but it is just beautiful.

Here are my instructions:

Stamp Set:  Easter Basket

Cardstock:  Balmy Blue, Basic White, Pecan Pie, Sky Shamrock, 12” x 12” Easter Joy DSP

Ink:  Tuxedo Black Memento, Balmy Blue

Stampin’ Blends:  Balmy Blue, Daffodil Delight, Fresh Freesia, Shy Shamrock

Other:  Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine, Easter Basket Dies, Stylish Shapes Dies, Stampin’ Dimensials, Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Seal, Mini Glue Dots, ¼” Balmy Blue Gingham, Easter Assortment, Eyelet 3D Embossing Folder

1.     The base of the card is Balmy Blue cardstock cut at 5-1/2” x 8-1/2” and scored at 4-1/4” in the middle.

2.    The second layer is Basic White cardstock cut at 4” x 5-1/4” and inserted into the Eyelet 3D Embossing Folder.

3.    Then cut the Easter Joy DSP at 4” x 5-1/4” and cut in half at 2-3/4” and attach to the bottom of the embossed Basic White cardstock.

4.    Wrap the ¼” Balmy Blue Gingham Ribbon around both layers where they meet and use adhesive in the back.  Then layer onto the card base.

5.    Die cut a Pecan Pie cardstock basket, with Balmy Blue basket accessories with the basket strips, bow and scalloped edge.  Die cut grass from Shy Shamrock cardstock.

6.    Weave the Balmy Blue strips through the basket and trim off the ends. Adhere the scallop trim, bow and grass to the basket.  Add Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back and adhere to the card front.

7.    Ink up the rabbit, the chick, and the eggs with Tuxedo Black ink on Basic White cardstock.  Color the rabbit, chick and eggs with the Blends and die cut them out.

8.    Adhere the rabbit with Stampin’ Dimensionals inside the basket.  Adhere the chick and eggs outside the basket with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

9.    Die cut a Basic White label from Stylish Shapes and ink up “For You” with Balmy Blue ink.  Adhere with stampin’ Dimensionals.
