Balloon Festoon - The Fourth of July

This is a card I made for my June swap with other demonstrators in our group.  I wanted to do a Fourth of July card to celebrate this special holiday.  I also made this card to give to my grandchildren in TN.

Here are my instructions:

Stamp Set:  Balloon Festoon

Cardstock:  Blueberry Bushel, Basic White, Real Red

Ink:  Real Red, Blueberry Bushel and Blueberry Bushel Stampin Blend

Other:  Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine, Balloon Festoon Dies, Wonderful Stars Puffy Stickers, Red & White Baker’s Twine, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Mini Glue Dot

1.     The base of the card is Blueberry Bushel cardstock cut at 5-1/2” x 8-1/2” and scored at 4-1/4” in the middle.

2.    The second layer is Basic White cardstock.  Ink up “Hip Hip Hooray!” in the lower right-hand corner with Blueberry Bushel ink.

3.    Ink up the balloon string stamp with Blueberry Bushel ink in the left-hand corner at an angle.

4.    Die cut a Real Red Balloon from the 4th largest die.  Ink it up with the stars stamp using Real Red ink.  Add Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of the balloon and adhere to the string on the card front at an angle.

5.    Attach a Red & White Twine bow at the base of the balloon with a Glue Dot.

6.    Add some white puffy stars to the balloon and color three of the small white ones with the Blueberry Bushel Stampin’ Blend.  Let dry!  Add to the card front.

7.    For the inside:  Cut a Basic White cardstock at 4” x 5” and fold in half.  Place it in the die-cutting machine with the fold outside of the die.  Ink up the sentiment “Let’s Celebrate” with Blueberry Bushel and stamp Blueberry Bushel stars on the front of the balloon.

8.    Ink up the fireworks display stamp from the May Paper Pumpkin at the top of the inside of the card above the balloon.
