Balloon Festoon - Arches Pop-Up Card

This is a fun Pop-Up card made with the Everyday Arches. I love these Arch Dies, and I hope they will be around for a long time. The front arch is "Let's Celebrate," and the very back arch, I put "Happy Birthday" and the balloon. I used the Balloon Festoon stamp set to make this card. The Wonderful Stars Puff Stickers were white, but I colored them with the Daffodil Delight Blends. They really make this card.

Here are my directions:

Stamp Set: Balloon Festoon

Cardstock: Secret Sea, Basic White, and Mixed-Up Patterns DSP

Ink: Daffodil Delight, Gray Granite, Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends

Other: Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine, Everyday Arches, Wonderful Stars Puff Stickers,

Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Tear & Tape

1. Cut three Secret Sea Arches using the largest #1, the third largest #3, and the 5^th largest #5. I tried to number my arches, but I just put a black marker on the odd numbers.

2. Next, cut three arches from the Mixed-Up Patterns DSP (Daffodil Delight stripes) using the 2^nd largest #2, the fourth largest #4, and the sixth largest #6. Adhere to the Secret Sea arches with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

3. Lastly, cut a #4 for the Basic White for the front. You can also cut a #1 Basic White for the back of the largest arch to stamp another sentiment, “Happy Birthday,” etc. For the little Basic White, ink up the balloon stamp with Daffodil Delight and stamp in the center of it. Then re-ink the stamps for more partial balloons up above the first balloon. Now, take the dots stamp and ink up each one with Daffodil Delight. Also, take the stars stamp and randomly stamp around the balloons with Daffodil Delight ink. Let Dry! Apply the Mixed-Up Patterns on your card.

4. Ink up the Gray Granite ink, stamp “Let’s Celebrate” across the bottom balloon, and attach to the bottom arch. Add the strings with Gray Granite.

5. For the mechanism to attach your arches for the pop-up part, cut Secret Sea at 3-1/4” x 3-1/4” and score at ¾”, 1-1/2”, 2-1/4”, and 3”. Cut another smaller piece of Secret Sea at 3-1/4” x 2-1/2” and score the same. Adhere Tear & Tape to the smallest section, remove the backing, and adhere it to the other side to form a rectangular box for each. The largest rectangular box adheres first, with the seam is at the back (not showing on the front of the arch) by adhering Tear & Tape to it. Center it at the very bottom, lay it flat, and then adhere the middle arch to the top section using Tear & Tape (not the bottom section). Lay it flat. Now add the last arch to the top section (not the bottom section) with Tear & Tape.

6. Lastly, I colored the white Fluffy Stickers with the Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends. Add them to your arches. They are self-adhesive.
