Sunset Coast

This is a card that I cased from Rachel Tessman.  It is so stunning!  I sent another version to a friend/customer to thank her for order from me.  She wanted to know how to create it, so I sent the website to her HERE The Designer Series Paper is what is so stunning because it has an Iridescent Foil that I love.

Here are my instructions:

Stamp Set:  Sunset Coast

Cardstock:  Basic Black, Basic White, Scenic Coast DSP

Ink:  Tuxedo Black Memento or Hybrid Basic Black

Other:  Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine, Sunset Coast Dies, Stylish Shapes Dies, Paper Trimmer, Bone Folder, Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Stampin’ Seal

1.     The base of the card is Basic Black cardstock cut at 5-1/2” x 10-3/4” and scored at 4-1/4” and 8-1/2.

2.    Cut the 6” x 6” DSP into two sections.  One at 4” wide x 5-1/4” long and the other one at 2” x 5-1/4” (which means you will need to cut off at the top or bottom or both to make it 5-1/4” long).

3.    Add the 4” x 5-1/4” Scenic Coast DSP to the front of the base.  Then take the largest circle from the Stylish Shapes and cut out the center.  Set the circle aside.

4.    Glue the 2” Sunset Coast DSP to the inside section.

5.    Die-cut another largest circle from Basic Black cardstock.  Now, take the Sunset Coast Lighthouse die and die-cut it out of the Basic Black solid circle.

6.    With a very fine glue tip, adhere to the Sunset Coast scenery circle.

7.    Close the card and adhere glue only to the inside circle section that shows.   Adhere the silhouette circle of the lighthouse to that section of the circle with a strong adhesive.

8.    You can stamp on the outside with “Happy Birthday” or “Happy Father’s Day” from the BBQ Master stamp set with black ink.

9.    For the inside:  Stamp the solid rock image in Pecan Pie, 2nd generation, close to the top of the 4” x 5-1/4” Basic White cardstock.  Then 2-step with Pecan Pie over it with a detailed image. Cover the rock with a Post-it note. Use Blending Brush with a light gradient of Blueberry Bushel.  Stamp the water lines with Blueberry Bushel.  Ink the sun in Crushed Curry ink.  Ink up the sailboats in Blueberry Bushel, 2nd generation.
