Evergreen Elegance Bay-Window Christmas Card

This is a bay-window card and I learned how to make it from a video from Kelly Acheson.  I used different cardstock, stamps, ink, etc. to make my bay-window card.  They are not that hard to make and I like the fact that it shows both sides of the Designer Series Paper because sometimes you like both sides just as much and it is hard to decide.   My instructions are as follows:

Stamp Sets:  Evergreen Elegance, Sweet Little Stockings, Peaceful Deer

Cardstock:  Evening Evergreen, Basic White, Sahara Sand, Soft Succulent, Tidings of Christmas DSP

Ink:  Evening Evergreen

Other:  Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine, Stockings Dies, Hippo and Friends Dies, Give It a Whirl Dies, Stampin’ Mini Dimensionals, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Bone Folder, and Multipurpose Liquid Glue

1.     The base of the card is Evening Evergreen cardstock cut at 4-1/4” x 11” and scored at 5-1/2”, 5-7/8”, 9-1/8”, and 10-5/8”.

2.    Cut the DSP for the front at ¼” x 4”, 1-1/2” x 4,  1-1/4” x 4” and ¼” x 4”.  Adhere with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

3.    For the inside, cut the DSP at ¼” x 4”, 1-1/4” x 4”, 1-1/2” x 4”, and 1-1/4” x 4” and ¼” x 4” in that order.  DSP can be glued down with Multipurpose Liquid Glue and use reversed sides of the DSP for the best look.  Cut Basic White cardstock at 3” x 4” for the inside.

4.    Ink up the tree from the Evergreen Elegance stamp set with Evening Evergreen ink and stamp on Soft Succulent cardstock.  Die-cut with the Hippo and Friends label die.  Add three Dimensionals down the center and attach to the very front.

5.    Ink up the sentiment “Merry Christmas” from the Peaceful Deer stamp set with Evening Evergreen ink on Soft Succulent cardstock.  Die-cut it out with the Give It a Whirl label die.  Use the Bone Folder to break up the fibers and add Mini Dimensionals below the tree in front.

6.     Ink up the stocking with Evening Evergreen ink on Soft Succulent cardstock.  Die-cut with the Stockings Die.  Die-cut the holly and berries with the DSP and Sahara Sand cardstock and adhere to the stocking.  Put the stocking on the right side of the inside so it will hold the bay window.

7.    Ink up the small trees from Evergreen Elegance with first and second generations on the 3” x 4” Basic White cardstock.

8.    Ink up the sentiment “It’s Friends Like You…..” with Evening Evergreen ink and stamp on the Basic White.  Adhere to the inside with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Delicate Dahlias

This flower stamp is called Delicate Dahlias and it is from the SAB August-September catalog that you can earn FREE with a $100 order.  Use #156601 when ordering.  Just think of all the beautiful colors you can make your dahlias with the Stampin' Write markers.  I used Bermuda Bay and Coastal Cabana. The ribbon is from the July-December Mini Catalog, and it is actually Black and White 1/4" Gingham Ribbon on page 51, but I colored it with the Stampin' Blends.  You could make this ribbon any of the Stampin' Blend colors that Stampin' Up! sells.

Here are my instructions:

Stamp Set:  Delicate Dahlias

Cardstock:  Bermuda Bay, Basic Black, Basic White

Ink:  Memento Black, Versmark, White Embossing Powder, Coastal Cabana and Bermuda Bay Stampin’ Write Markers

Stampin’ Blends:  Bermuda Bay

Other:  Heat Tool, Label Me Fancy Punch, ¼” Black and White Gingham Ribbon, Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Dimensionals and Scotch tape

1.      The base of the card is Bermuda Bay cardstock cut at 5-1/2” x 8-1/2” and scored at 4-1/4” in the middle.

2.      The second layer is Basic Black cardstock cut at 4” x 5-1/4” and adhered to the front with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

3.      The third layer is Basic White cardstock cut at 3-3/4” x 5”.

4.      Ink up the Dahlia stamp with Versamark and stamp randomly on the Basic White cardstock.  Use the White Embossing Powder to sprinkle over the stamped images and shake off excess.  Heat set with the Heat Tool.

5.      Once dry, color in with Stampin’ the markers.

6.      Color the1/4” Black and White Gingham Ribbon with the Bermuda Bay Stampin’ Blend. Let dry! Then wrap about 5” around the two layers and use Scotch tape on the back.  Tie a faux bow in front.

7.      Stamp the sentiment with Memento Black and punch it out with the Label Me Fancy Punch.  Adhere over the ribbon with Dimensionals.

Penguin Place Birthday Card

This is a card that I cased from a video of Stamp It Up with Jaimie.  Stampin' Up! SNEAK PEEK Penguins Place Birthday Card Tutorial - YouTube
I fell in love with it and wanted to create it myself.  I changed it just a little bit.  It does use a lot of stamps from this set, but all of them are from this set called Penguin Place which comes as a Bundle with a punch.  It is available on page 33 of the July-December Mini Catalog.  The Designer Series Paper is called Penguin Playmates which can be earned FREE with $50 and it's on page 4 of the August-December Sale-a-Bration Catalog.  The card also uses a lot of ink colors but the colors are chosen from the DSP which makes it so much easier to decide what ink to use.  This card is not just for kids.  It can be for Christmas or a birthday.  I love the sentiments that go with it.  My favorite sentiment is "I like you a lottle....it's like a little a little except a lot." The punch will also punch out certain penguins on the DSP, but the others on the DSP will need to be fussy cut out with the Paper Snips.  The balloon punch is retired and no longer available to purchase, but since I still own it, I used it to punch out the balloon.  Otherwise, you can fussy cut it.
