Peaceful Deer with Be Dazzling Specialty Paper

I love gingham and so I wanted to use the Peaceful Prints DSP from the Aug-Sept. Sale-a-bration Catalog I earned FREE with a $50 order to make this card.  The other side has gingham deer, so I love both sides of this paper.  It makes it hard to decide,  but I wanted my customers to use the punch that goes with the Peaceful Deer Punch.  I love the paper so much, I placed another order so that I get more for FREE to use next time.  The ribbon I used is actually the Black and White ribbon that I colored with the Real Red Stampin' Blend.  The Be Dazzling Specialty Paper was also FREE with a $50 order.  Here are my instructions but the layout was cased from Kelly Achesonn:

Stamp Set:  Peaceful Deer

Cardstock:  Basic Black, Real Red, Basic White, Be Dazzling Specialty Paper (SAB), Peaceful Prints DSP (SAB)

Ink:  Real Red, Basic Gray

Stampin’ Blends:  Real Red

Other:  Deer Builder Punch, Paper Trimmer, ¼” Black and White Gingham Ribbon, Multipurpose Glue, Stampin’ Mini Dimensionals, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Stampin’ Seal Plus (or Tear and Tape), Scotch Tape

1.     The base of the card is Basic Black cardstock cut at 5-1/2” x 8-1/2” and scored at 4-1/4” in the middle.  Then cut 3-1/4” from the front.

2.     Cut 1” x 5-1/2” of Be Dazzling Specialty Paper from page 3 of the SAB catalog.

3.     Cut 4” x 5-1/2” of red and black gingham Peaceful Prints DSP from page 8 of the SAB catalog.

4.     Adhere the Be Dazzling strip to the Peaceful Prints DSP all the way to the left side and adhere with Stampin’ Seal Plus or Tear and Tape with one strip on the right side of the Be Dazzling that adheres to the DSP.  Line them up with the right side of the card and add a strip of strong adhesive to the outside edge of the Basic Black card front flap.

5.     Ink up the sentiment “Let’s Celebrate” with Real Red ink and stamp it at the bottom of the 3” x 4” Whisper White cardstock.

6.     Then ink up the snowflake stamp with Basic Gray and stamp at an angle going up to right the corner with the first generation and the second generation and repeat.  (The first generation is fully inked, the second generation is not re-inking but stamping again).

7.     Wrap the 4” strip of ¼” Black and White Gingham ribbon around the Basic White cardstock.  Scotch tape it on the back.  Tie another 3-1/2” piece onto it for a faux bow.  Trim ends! Optional:  May color it with Real Red Stampin’ Blend but let dry completely before adhering to the Basic White cardstock or it will bleed through.

8.     Layer the 3” x 4” Basic White cardstock onto the 3-1/4” x 4-1/4” Real Red cardstock with Multipurpose Glue.

9.     Ink up the deer with Real Red ink and stamp on 2” x 4” Basic White cardstock. Punch it out with the Deer Builder Punch.  Add Mini Dimensionals to the back and adhere over the Basic Gray snowflakes.

10.   Inside:  Stamp before adhering:  Ink up the sentiment “Wishing You a wonderful year and friendships dear….Merry Christmas” with Real Red ink.  Adhere with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
