So, remember, if you place an order with me, this is one of the cards you will receive to thank you for your purchase.
This month, I have used the Circle Sayings stamp set for my customer thank you cards. That’s right! For my wonderful customers who shop with me during November 2023, you will receive a sampling of these products in the form of a hand-made thank you card from me. How exciting!
That's right, if you place any order with me this month, I will send you this very thank you card to show you how much I appreciate your business. I started with using one of the new In-Colors for 2023-2025 called Moody Mauve as my card. Then I chose Winter Meadow Designer Series Paper for the second layer. All my instructions are below on how I made this card. The technique is called Faux Shutter Card or Fractured Card.
Stamp Set: Circle Sayings
Cardstock: Moody Mauve, Pretty Peacock, Basic White,
Winter Meadow DSP
Ink: Moody Mauve
Other: Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine, Paper
Trimmer, Stylish Shapes Dies,
Silicone, Craft Sheet, Multipurpose
Liquid Glue and Paper Snips.
1. The base of the card is Moody Mauve
cardstock cut at 5-1/2” x 8-1/2” and scored at 4-1/4” in the middle.
2. The second layer is Winter Meadow DSP cut
at 4” x 5-1/4”. Set aside.
3. Die-cut a Basic White square from the
Stylus Shapes Dies and a larger one from Moody Mauve. Turn the squares with the points pointing
like a diamond shape instead of a square.
4. Ink up “Thank You” from Circle Sayings
stamp set with Moody Mauve ink. Layer
together with Multipurpose Liquid Glue in the center of the DSP.
5. Now, cut ¼” strips of Pretty Peacock
cardstock about 5-1/2” long.
6. Start on the top right by applying
Multipurpose Glue to the first strip of Pretty Peacock letting the ends hang
off the edge (to be cut off when dry).
Then in clockwise position, add the next strip, etc. until you’ve
reached the last. Once dry, cut off the
ends with the Paper Snips.
7. Add the DSP to the front of the base card
with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
8. This technique is called
