Trucking Along - Christmas

This card is using the Trucking Along stamp set and Punch.  I'm glad this bundle is back in stock.  It is a favorite of mine.   The colors I used are Pretty Peacock and Balmy blues which are colors in the Walk in the Forest DSP.  I love how Stampin' Up! list the colors in the Designer Series Paper.  It makes it so much easier to choose colors to coordinate with the card.

Stamp Set:  Trucking Along

Cardstock:  Pretty Peacock, Basic White, Walk in the Forest DSP

Ink:  Pretty Peacock, Balmy Blue, Tuxedo Black Memento, Basic Black Marker

Other:  Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine, Deckled Circle Dies, Trucking Along Punch, Festive Pearls, Paper Snips, Sponge Dauber, Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Stampin’ Dimensionals

1.     The base of the card is Pretty Peacock cardstock cut at 4-1/4” x 11” and scored at 5-1/2”.  Cut off three inches of the front flap so that there is 2-1/2” left.

2.    Cut a 2-1/4” x 4” of DSP (trees) and adhere to the front flap with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

3.    Cut a 4” x 5-1/4” of DSP for the inside.

4.    Die-cut two Basic White Deckled Circles, 7th from the smallest.  Use one for the front.   Ink up the clouds with Balmy Blue.  Ink up the road tracks with Tuxedo Black Memento.

5.    On a scrap of Basic White, ink up the outline of the truck.   Then use the solid stamp with Balmy Blue ink.  Punch out the truck with the Trucking Along Punch.  Color in the tires with the Basic Black Marker.

6.    Ink up a tree with Pretty Peacock ink.  Trim out the tree with the Paper Snips leaving a tail to glue to the back of the truck.  Add Stampin’ Dimensionals and attach to the deckled circle over the road tracks.

7.    On a strip of approximately ½” x 3” of Basic White, ink up the sentiment “Wishing You a Festive Christmas.”  Trim off excess, and very carefully lay the edges into the Pretty Peacock ink pad to create a border or use a Sponge Dauber to ink the edges.

8.    Attach to the left side of the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals

9.    For the inside deckled circle, be sure to align with the front one so it can’t be seen until you open the card. Use Multipurpose Glue.

10.  Add three Festive Pearls.
