Perfectly Plaid - Old Olive

Plaid is in!  This plaid Christmas tree stamp from Perfectly Plaid goes great with the Old Olive Toile Tidings DPS,  I love to use the Subtle Embossing Folder in the background which it makes it look like linen.  Here are my instructions for this card.

Stamp Set:  Perfectly Plaid

Cardstock:  Old Olive, Thick Very Vanilla, Very Vanilla, Toile Tidings DSP.

Ink:  Old Olive

Other:  Big Shot, Subtle Embossing Folder, Stitched Nested Labels Dies, Pine Tree Punch, Linen Thread, Star Designer Elements, Multipurpose Glue, Dimensionals, Glue Dot

1.     The base of the card is Thick Very Vanilla cardstock cut at 4-1/4” x 11” and scored at 5-1/2” in the middle.

2.    The second layer is Old Olive cardstock cut at 4”x 5-1/4” and inserted into the Subtle Embossing Folder and run through the Big Shot.

3.    The third layer is Toile Tidings DSP cut at 4” x 2-1/2” and adhered to the middle of the Old Olive cardstock with Multipurpose Glue.

4.    Use Very Vanilla cardstock to die cut using the second largest die from the Stitched Nested Labels Dies.  Ink up the “Merry Christmas” with Old Olive ink and stamp at the bottom of the Very Vanilla Die.  Use Dimensional to pop up on the card front.

5.    Ink up the plaid Christmas tree stamp with Old Olive and stamp on a scrap of Very Vanilla cardstock.  Use the Pine Tree Punch to punch it out.  Attach Dimensionals on the back and adhere above the Merry Christmas sentiment.  Attach a bow made from Linen Thread with a Glue Dot at the bottom of the tree and add a gold star at  the top using the Star Designer Elements.

Harvest Hellos - Apples

Hi Stampers,  I was gone a lot in September so wasn't able to post as much as I would like to.  However, I have been making lots of card samples and hope to start sharing again this month.
I did a few Fall cards, but not so much Halloween.
This is my card swap for September, so I will share it first.   Here are my instructions:

Stamp Set:  Harvest Hellos, Birch BG
Cardstock:  Soft Suede, Whisper White, Granny Apple Green, Crushed Curry, Poppy Parade
Ink:  Soft Suede, Granny Apple Green, Crushed Curry, Poppy Parade
Other:  Big Shot, Stamparatus, Apple Builder Punch, Stitched Nested Labels Dies, Linen Thread, Glue Dots, Snail Adhesive, Multipurpose Glue, Dimensionals

1.     The base of the card is Soft Suede cardstock cut at 4-1/4” x 11” and scored at 5-1/2” in the middle.
2.    The second layer is Whisper White cardstock cut at 4” x 5-1/4” and inserted in to the Stamparatus.  Use the Birch Background stamp using Soft Suede ink to create the background.
3.    Use Granny Apple Green cardstock and Granny Apple Green ink using the apple stamp.  Use the Apple Builder Punch to punch it out.  Do the same with Crushed Curry and Poppy Parade.
4.    Use Soft Suede ink and cardstock for the stems and Granny Apple Green for the leaves.  Attach stems to all three apples using Snail Adhesive.
5.    Attach Linen Thread to the Crushed Curry apple using a Glue Dot.  Attach a Granny Apple Green leaf to the Poppy Parade apple.
6.    Place the Crushed Curry apple on the card front first, then the Granny Apple Green one, and Dimensionals on the back of the Poppy Parade apple to pop it up.
7.    Ink up the sentiment “You Make Me Smile” with Poppy Parade ink on Whisper White.  Die cut with the Stitched Nested Label Die.  Attach at the top with Dimensionals.

A Good Man - It's Your Day!

This is the other card my club members made yesterday and I just love this new set called A Good Man and knew it would be perfect for a Father's Day card.  I used the sprinkle stamp from Beauty Abounds set to make it look like sand.  I used the Well-Said to create the "Happy Father's Day" inside my card.

Stamp Sets:  A Good Man, Well-Said, Beauty Abounds

Cardstock:  Night of Navy, Crumb Cake, Pool Party Whisper White

Ink:  Memento Black, Stampin’ Blends: Night of Navy, Pool Party, Crumb Cake, Ivory

Other:  Big Shot, Stitched Nested Labels Dies, Subtle Embossing Folder, Dimensionals, Multipurpose Glue

1.     The base of the card is Night of Navy cardstock cut at 5-1/2” x 8-1/2” and scored at 4-1/4” in the middle.

2.    The second layer is Crumb Cake cardstock cut at 4” x 5-1/4” and randomly stamped with the stamp from Beauty Abounds with Crumb Cake ink to appear as sand.

3.    Ink up “It’s Your Day” with Memento Black ink and stamp it in the lower, right-hand corner.  Insert into the Subtle Embossing Folder and run through the Big Shot.

4.    The Stitched Nested Labels Dies are from a bundle with Free as a Bird set, but used for this card.

5.    The guy in the chair stamp is inked up with Memento Black ink and colored in with the Stampin’ Blends.  Die cut with the third largest Stitched Nested Labels Die.  Then cut a Pool Party with the largest Stitched Nested Label Die.  Adhere together with Multipurpose Glue.  Add Dimensionals to the back and adhere to the front of the card.

6.    On the inside:  Ink up Happy Father’s Day from the Well-Said stamp set with Memento Black ink.  Ink up “Relax Your Way!” stamp from A Good Man stamp set below it with Memento Black ink.  At the bottom stamp the sand stamp with Crumb Cake.

Easter Basket - Hello, Spring

Rather than an Easter Basket, I made a Spring bouquet for my basket.  I love daffodils, and although there are other flowers in this Easter ...
