Beauty of Friendship - Thinking of You

This is a Thinking of You card, but it would also make a great Christmas card.
We did this card at my club workshop this month.  A red bird appears as a representative of a close person in your life who is no more.  When it lands in your yard and you get a sighting, it means that person is revisiting you.  Such sightings occur when you miss that person and many Americans have admitted it. This card was inspired by Bonnie J.
Here are my instructions:

Stamp Set:  Beauty of Friendship

Cardstock:  Thick Basic White, Night of Navy, Real Red, Basic White, Earth Designer Series Paper

Ink:  Night of Navy

Other:  Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine, Beautiful Trees Dies, Adhesive Sheets, Blue Adhesive-Backed Gems, Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Stampin’ Seal, Bone Folder, Mini Glue Dots

1.     The base of the card is Thick Basic White cardstock cut at 4-1/4” x 11” and scored at 5-1/2” in the middle.

2.    The Night of Navy cardstock is cut at 3-1/4” x 5-1/2”.

3.    The Earth DSP is cut at 3”x 5-1/2”.

4.    Adhere layers together with Adhesive and to the center of the card base.

5.    For the tree: Adhere 3” x 4-3/4” Adhesive Sheet to 3-1/4” x 5” Basic White cardstock.  Make sure you have the adhesive sheet side down on the cutting plate before running through the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine.  Peel the backing off from the tree branches and adhere to the DSP.

6.    Die-cut the Real Red birds from scraps.  Adhere to the tree with Mini Glue Dots.

7.    Cut a Basic White strip at ½” x 4-1/4” and ink up the sentiment with Night of Navy ink and stamp in the center of the strip.  Adhere adhesive to the back and adhere across the tree trunk and add a Blue Adhesive-Backed Gem to each side.

8.    This could also be a sympathy or birthday card with a different sentiment.
