Calming Camellia - Whitewashing

This is a card that I cased from Lisa Freeman using the Calming Camellia stamp set in the Sale-a-Bration catalog which is a host set that can be earned with a personal or workshop order of $300 or more.
The technique is called Whitewashing which uses Craft White ink with a Blender Pen.

Here are my instructions:

Stamp Set:  Calming Camellia

Cardstock:  Misty Moonlight, Basic White

Ink: Night of Navy, Misty Moonlight, Craft White

Other:  Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine, Stitched So Sweetly Dies, Blender Pen, 3/8” Denim Ribbon, Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Dimensionals, Clear Block

1.     The base of the card is Misty Moonlight cardstock cut at 4-1/4” x 11” and scored at 5-1/2” in the middle.

2.    Ink up the Calming Camellia stamp with Night of Navy ink and randomly stamp on the outside of the front.  Also, on a Misty Moonlight cardstock cut at 2” x 2-1/2”.

3.    Ink up a clear block with the Craft ink and use a Blender pen to color in the areas that need to be highlighted or whitewashed.

4.    Die-cut a Basic White scalloped rectangle die from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies in the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine.  Adhere the 2” x 2-1/2” Misty Moonlight cardstock to the left side of the scallop.  Tie Denim Ribbon around the right side and attach a bow.

5.    Put Dimensionals on the back and adhere to the front of the card.
