Catching Butterflies - SAB

These are two Valentine's I made for my granddaughters.  One is blonde and the other is a redhead.
I just used the colors that were in the Pattern Party DSP (host) but I was inspired by a card that Rose Coleman, Canadian Demonstrator did with this set.  I just used different colors and Designer Series Paper

Here are my instructions:

Stamp Set:  Catching Butterflies, Sweet Conversations

Cardstock:  Bermuda Bay, Poppy Parade, Crushed Curry, Basic White, Pattern Party DSP (Host)

Ink:  Tuxedo Black Memento

Stampin’ Blends:  Pale Pink, Poppy Parade, Flirty Flamingo, Daffodil Delight

Other:  Mini Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine, Dotty Hearts Embossing Folder, Sweet Heart Dies, Paper Snips, Delightful Tag Topper, Paper Trimmer, Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Dimensionals

1.     The base of the card is Bermuda Bay cardstock cut at 5-1/2” x 8-1/2” and scored at 4-1/4” in the middle.

2.    The second layer is Poppy Parade cardstock cut at 3” x 5-1/4” and inserted into the Dotty Hearts Embossing Folder and run through the Mini Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine and adhered to the left side of the card.  The DSP strip is cut at 1” x 5-1/4” and adhered to the right side of the card.

3.    Ink up the girl stamp with Tuxedo Black Memento ink on Basic White cardstock.

4.    With the Paper Snips, trim her out and color in her face, neck, hands, and legs with Stampin’ Blends.  Use Flirty Flamingo for her rosy cheeks.

5.    Ink her up again and stamp on the Pattern Party DSP.  Die-cut the dress portion only and adhere to her dress on the first stamped image.

6.    Punch out a 2” Basic White strip of cardstock and insert it into the Delightful Tag Topper. Cut it with the Paper Trimmer so that it is about 3-3/4” long. Attach the finished girl onto the tag with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Attach with Dimensionals.

7.    Punch out 4 Poppy Parade tiny hearts with the Sweet Heart Dies.  Attach 3 at the top.

8.    Die-cut an envelope from the Sweet Hearts Dies from the (Granny Apple Green) DSP.  Ink up the I Luv U stamp with Poppy Parade and die-cut it out with the heart die.  Put the mini envelope together and add the other Poppy Parade tiny heart to seal it.  Add the I Luv U heart inside the envelope to show.  Add with Dimensionals.

9.    Die-cut a Crushed Curry banner label with the Sweet Heart Dies and attach. Ink up “Happy Valentine’s Day” on the label.  I cut the stamp to fit.
