Driving By Just to Say Hi

This is another Driving By SAB card that was inspired by Lisa Brown, another Stampin' Up! Demonstrator.  It is so bright and cheerful.  Here are the instructions for my card:

Stamp Set:  Driving By

Cardstock:  Thick Basic White, Basic White, 6” x 6” Sunshine & Rainbows DSP, Pattern Party DSP

Ink:  Tuxedo Black Memento

Stampin’ Blends:  Pool Party, Basic Black, Gray Granite

Other:  Mini Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine, Stripes and Splatters Embossing Folders, Cloud Punch, Paper Snips, Dimensionals, Multipurpose Liquid Glue

1.     The base of the card is Thick Basic White cardstock cut at 4-1/4” x 5-1/2”.

2.    The second layer is Sunshine and Rainbows DSP cut at 4-1/4” x 5-1/2” and adhered to the base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

3.    Cut Basic White cardstock at 2-3/4” x 8-1/2” and score at 4-1/4”.  Insert the front of the card into the Splatters Embossing Folder and run it through the Mini.

4.    Cut the Sunshine and Rainbows DSP (hearts) at 1-1/2” x 2-3/4” and adhere to the Basic White embossing front.  Add a strip of the Pattern Party DSP cut at ¼” x 2-3/4” and adhere across the bottom of the hearts designer series paper.

5.    Ink up the van with Tuxedo Black Memento ink and stamp on Basic White cardstock.  Color it in with the Stampin’ Blends.  Stamp again on the Sunshine and Rainbows DSP and cut it out with the Paper Snips omitting the tires, bumpers, and windows.  Adhere over the first stamped image with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

6.    Punch out a cloud from the Sunshine & Rainbows DSP that has clouds and put Dimensionals on the back.  Cut out a sun from the paper too.  Add Multipurpose Glue to the sun and adhere to the upper right-hand corner.  Place the cloud over the rays that are missing.

7.    Ink up the sentiment “Just Driving By just to say hi” with Tuxedo Black Memento ink on Basic White and cut it out with the Paper Snips to make a banner.

8.    Decorate the inside as desired.
