Beautiful Balloons

This is a card I made with instructions from Stampin' Gala, but I didn't have all the embellishments on hand that she used, so I used what I had.  This is a fun stamp set that is sold as a bundle and I can't wait to make more cards with it.

Stamp Set:  Beautiful Balloons

Cardstock:  Berry Burst, Basic White, Lemon Lime Twist, 6” x 6” Bright & Beautiful DSP

Ink:  Misty Moonlight, Lemon Lime Twist

Other:  Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine, Paper Trimmer, Bone Folder, Beautiful Balloons Dies, Basics 3D Embossing Folders, 1/8” Parakeet Party Metallic Woven Ribbon, Festive Pearls, Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Glue Dots, Baker’s Twine Essential Pack, Stampin’ Dimensionals

1.     The base of the card is Berry Burst cardstock (returning color) cut at 4-1/4” x 8-1/4” and scored at 2-3/4”.  Use the Bone Folder to burnish the score line.

2.    The second layer at the top is the Basic White cardstock cut at 2-1/2” x 4” and the DSP is cut at 2-1/4” x 3-3/4” and layered together with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

3.    Next, cut Berry Burst cardstock at 2-5/8” x 4-1/8” and Basic White cardstock at 2-3/8” x 3-7/8”.  Layer together with Multipurpose Liquid Glue and set aside.

4.    For the inside:  Cut Basic White cardstock at 4” x 5-1/4” and insert it into the Basics 3D Folder and run through the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine.  Adhere inside with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Cut Lemon Lime Twist cardstock at 3” x 8-1/2” and score at 4-1/4” and burnish with the Bone Folder.  Cut two Basic White cardstock.  Ink up the streamer’s stamp with Lemon-Lime Twist and Misty Moonlight ink and stamp them at the top of one of the Basic White cardstock. On the other Basic White, ink up the “Happy Birthday” sentiment and the balloon string stamp in Misty Moonlight ink.  Die-cut a balloon from the DSP and glue it above the string with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Adhere to the front of the Lemon Lime Twist cardstock.  Adhere to the center of the inside with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

5.    Back to the front: Die-cut three balloons from the DSP.  Attach Basic White Twine with a Glue Dot to the back of the two largest balloons.  Put Dimensionals on the back.  Tie a knot in the ends of the strings.

6.    Ink up the sentiment “I think it’s time for a Celebration” on Basic White cardstock and add Dimensionals to the back.  Adhere below the balloons.  Insert the small balloon. Tie a bow with the ribbon and attach it with a Glue Dot to the biggest balloon.

7.    Add 3 Festive Pearls.  Adhere to the front of the card with Multipurpose Glue to the top so that it hangs down over the Lemon Lime Twist card inside.
