Circle of Sayings - Sun and Waves

This is another section I cut from the Fresh as a Daisy DSP.  I was inspired by a video that Michelle Zindorf did with direct to paper inking technique.   However, the Fresh as a Daisy DSP is what I used because it looked so similar in color.  I did emboss it with the 3D Painted Texture Embossing Folder.  Here is the rest of my instructions for doing my card:

Stamp Set:  Circle Sayings

Cardstock:  Azure Afternoon, Basic White, Gold Foil, Fresh as a Daisy DSP

Ink:  Tuxedo Black Memento, Azure Afternoon, Wild Wheat

Other:  Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine, 3D Painted Texture Embossing Folder, Paper Trimmer, 2-1/4” Circle Punch, 3-5/8” Circle Punch, Cloud Punch, Water Painters Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Stampin’ Dimensionals

1.      The base of the card is Azure Afternoon cardstock cut at 4-1/4” x 11” and scored at 1-1/4”, and 5-1/2”. Fold the flap to the front.

2.    The second layer is the Fresh as a Daisy DSP cut at 4” x 5-1/4” and inserted into the 3D Painted Texture Embossing Folder and ran through the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine.  Then cut off 1-1/4” off the right side of the DSP.

3.    Adhere the cut DSP pieces to the inside of the card and outside with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

4.    Cut a strip of Gold Foil at 1” x 4-1/4” to adhere to the front flap with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

5.    Ink up the sun/wave stamp with Tuxedo Black Memento ink on Basic White cardstock and use the Water Painters to color the sun and waves by placing ink on a clear block to paint from.  Punch out with the 2-1/4” Circle Punch.  Punch out a layer of Azure Afternoon with the 2-3/8” Circle Punch.  Layer together with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Place Stampin’ Dimensionals on the back on the left side only and adhere to the center of the Gold Foil.

6.    For the inside:  Use Tuxedo Black Memento ink using the seashell stamp and stamp on the lower left side of 4” x 4” Basic White cardstock.  Color the shells in with the Water Painters and Azure Afternoon and Wild Wheat inks.  Adhere with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

7.    Punch out a Basic White cloud with the Cloud Punch and stamp “smile” on it.  Attach with Stampin’ Dimensionals on the front of the card.
