Watercolor Melon - Thanks

This set is called Watercolor Melon and it is free from the SAB Mini Catalog with a $50 purchase.  I used Garden Green and Parakeet Party on the watermelon.  The Modern Oval Punch punches it out.  The edible pieces of the watermelon are stamped with Sweet Sorbet ink.  I love those watermelon seeds which make it look real!  I wanted to make a Thanks card, so I used the stamp from the new stamp set called Ice Cream Swirl.  Here are the instructions for making this card:

Stamp Sets:  Watercolor Melon, Ice Cream Swirl (Thanks)

Cardstock:  Garden Green, Basic White, 6” x 6” Regals DSP, Bee Mine DSP

Ink:  Tuxedo Black Memento, Garden Green, Sweet Sorbet and Parakeet Party

Other:  Paper Trimmer, Modern Oval Punch, ¼”Sweet Sorbet Bordered Ribbon, Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Glue Dots, Stampin’ Dimensionals

1.     The base of the card is Garden Green cardstock cut at 5-1/2” x 8-1/2” and scored at 4-1/4” in the middle.

2.    The second layers are the Bee Mine DSP cut at 2-3/4” x 5-1/4” and the Regals (Garden Green) DSP cut at 1-1/4” x 5-2/4”.  The two pieces are taped in the back and wrapped with a 6” piece of ¼” Sweet Sorbet Bordered Ribbon.  Adhere to the front of the card with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

3.    Cut a Basic White cardstock at 2-1/2” x 3-3/4”. Ink up the watermelon piece with a bite out of it with Sweet Sorbet ink and stamp on bottom right.  Add seeds with Tuxedo Black Memento ink.  Do the same with the smaller melon at the very top.

4.    Ink up the leaves with Garden Green ink on bottom left and top right.

5.    Ink up the “Thanks” sentiment from Ice Cream Swirl stamp set with Garden Green ink and stamp it in upper left-hand corner.

6.    On a scrap, ink up the Watermelon stamp with Garden Green ink and stamp it.  Clean the stamp and then ink it up with Parakeet Party and stamp over the first image.  Punch it out with the Modern Oval Punch.  Adhere with Stampin’ Dimensionals over the watermelon stamped images.

7.    Adhere to a layer of Garden Green cardstock cut at 2-3/4” x 4”. Adhere Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of the layers and adhere to the card front.  Attach a bow with a Glue Dot.
