This is my last post today for the Birthday Blooms and I think I like this color combination the best.
It is Bermuda Bay and Wild Wasabi. I painted the rose with the Clear Wink of Stella brush to give it a glimmer touch. It looks awesome in person. The embossing folder is the Boho Chic using Wild Wasabi. Love the Oval Framelits, but they are retiring the end of May, 2016.

Birthday Blooms meets Perfect Plum
This stamp set, Birthday Blooms is a set from the 2016 Occasions Catalog that I use a lot.
I just love it! What I have not used for over a year is the color Perfect Plum, so I decided to use it to make this card. First, I stamped the rose with Jet Black Stazon. For a different effect, I used my Clear Wink of Stella to pick up the color in the lid of the Perfect Plum stamp set or you can use a couple drops of re-inker in the lid to color in the rose like paint brush. It adds such a hint of glitter to the rose. The other color I used for the leaves is Pear Pizzazz. Be sure to clean the brush on scrap paper between each color. I used the Gold Wink of Stella for the center/pistils of my flower but Daffodil Delight or another yellow would work just as well.

Nuts About You
I made this card last fall for a swap and so glad it made it into the new 2016-2017 Annual Catalog
minus the Into the Woods DSP and Gold Cord Trim. The Woodland TIEF in the background also made it as well as the Acorn Builder Punch. Yay! The colors I used are Crumb Cake, Soft Suede and Very Vanilla. Here are my instructions:
1. Base
of card is Crumb Cake cut at 8-1/2” x 5-1/2” and scored at 4-1/4” in the middle.
2. The second layer is Soft Suede cut at
5-1/4” x 4” and inserted into the Woodland TIEF and ran through the Big Shot on
Multipurpose Platform Tab 1. Glue to the
front of the Crumb Cake card.
3. Take the 2” Circle Punch and insert all the
way between both front layers and punch.
4. Ink up the “Nuts About You” stamp with Soft
Suede ink and stamp on Very Vanilla cardstock.
Punch out with the Acorn Builder Punch.
Punch out another acorn from Soft Suede cardstock and glue the two
acorns together. Tie a Gold Trim bow and
attach with a Glue Dot at the base of the stem.
Attach with Dimensionals inside the 2” circle.
5. Cut a strip of the Into the Woods DSP at 1”
x 4” and attach with Snail Adhesive at bottom base of the card.

Apple of My Eye - Pears
This is a card I made using the Apple of My Eye set from the 2016 Occasions catalog that will be retiring the end of May. Other sets I used were Gorgeous Grunge and Endless Birthday. I've had fun making cards with the Apple of My Eye so it will be sad to see it go. I followed instructions from Michelle Zindorf on how to color the pears. The base of my card is Rich Razzleberry and the second layer is Pear Pizzazz. The pears were stamped on Whisper White.

Goodbye In-Colors of 2014-2016
In memory of the In-Colors of 2014-2016 that will retire the end of May, I made this card using all 5 colors that are retiring. All five colors are Blackberry Bliss, Hello Honey, Lost Lagoon, Mossy Meadow, and Tangelo Twist. To make the card, the base is Blackberry Bliss cut at 4-1/4" x 11" and scored at 5-1/2". The second layer is Mossy Meadow cut at 4" x 5-1/4". I cut out two each of Hello Honey and Lost Lagoon at 1-3/8" square. Then I used the Corner Rounder Punch to round two corners. I used the Bold Butterfly Thinlet to make the Tangelo Twist butterfly and attached with a Dimensional. Then I added "Thank You For Your Kindness" from the Wetlands stamp set with the Archival Basic Black ink. Thank goodness Wetlands is not retiring, it is one of my favorite stamp sets.
